LibrarianRyan Love this book. It's a little dry in the middle though. 6y
Janeeny @LibrarianRyan yeah, I loved the concept but it also felt a bit rushed at the end. Although that could be because the last 25 pages in my edition were actually notes about the author and the first chapter of Inkspell, so it ended a bit sooner than I expected 6y
LibrarianRyan @Janeeny Hummm. I cant remember. I just remember that the walking in the middle over the hills was so boring. And I was trying to convince kids to stick with it. I am looking forward to her new book. We haven't had new Funke that wast early chapter in a while. 6y

#bookwormbingo well that was fun, and got me thinking. Nearly got them all, but I've never been abroad, so never had a chance to buy a book from an airport. I'm such a homebody 😂 @electricreaders

The spending $50 on books was easy, I used to work in a bookshop, so that's where most my wages went on payday

I'm 100 pages in to Jules Verne's classic and STILL have the theme from the 80s cartoon playing in my head 😆 #earworm

Mehso-so

What I liked most about this book, was the very basic nature of the rituals. Most other books on practicing Paganism talk about ‘summoning your circle', for someone like me that sometimes struggles with this kind of visualisation I was quite pleased to see that the ritual preperations in this book were just two cleansing breaths; In and Out. This is something which I shall definitly be adding to my own little pot- pourri of practical Paganism.

The Lido | Libby Page

"The florist is an old man in a dark green apron with soil under his apron and a gold chain round his neck. Whatever the weather, he sells 'sorry's and 'I love you's at a reasonable price. Wrap it up in brown paper and tie it up with a ribbon."

Mehso-so

A straightforward and insightful look into Evelyn Waughs relationship with Oxford and it's influence on his works.
