#finishedreading eight books in January 📚🎉👏. That is a pretty amazing stat for me 😁. I generally aim to read a book a week.

And what an eclectic mix of books they were! Fiction, nonfiction, Australian, US, First Nations, Irish, classic, spec fic…

What a wonderful reading month 🤗😍

Rissreads Yep what an awesome start to 2023! 🤩 2y

#finishedreading | This was a really cute retelling of Grease! Will & Ollie were both very sweet characters, even if you did want to shake them sometimes. I enjoyed Ollie‘s narration a lot, & I particularly loved his friendship with prickly Lara. After the long hiatus I had, I needed something that was adorable, fun, & meaningful, & this 100% fit the bill. Definitely recommend if you‘re in the mood for an adorable, engaging, easy rom com. ★★★★☆.

#finishedreading | This was a cute sequel to “Bewitching.” The characters were adorable — especially Letty, who I could relate to a lot, & whose scrapes made you laugh. The chemistry between her & Richard were well done, if a tiny bit predictable. The plot, however, meandered a lot, so that the ending was very rushed. And, yes, I don‘t mind prose that is sprinkled liberally with sugar, but I did wince a bit at some extra-purpled phrases. ★★★☆☆.

What Alice Forgot | Liane Moriarty

Pickpick

Though the overarching ”mystery” about what exactly Alice Forgot was predictable, I found this to be an extremely enjoyable read. To me, the real question was what would Alice do when she did get her 10 years of missing memory back. Also, as much as I liked Alice, I loved her sister, Elisabeth, and her story even more. An enjoyable, quick read, I will certainly pick up more from Liane Moriarty in the future! #finishedreading

StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego I enjoy her other books more. Thier twists are much better. Was still a good read though. You aught to try 5y

LibrarianRyan Love this book. It's a little dry in the middle though. 5y
Janeeny @LibrarianRyan yeah, I loved the concept but it also felt a bit rushed at the end. Although that could be because the last 25 pages in my edition were actually notes about the author and the first chapter of Inkspell, so it ended a bit sooner than I expected 5y
LibrarianRyan @Janeeny Hummm. I cant remember. I just remember that the walking in the middle over the hills was so boring. And I was trying to convince kids to stick with it. I am looking forward to her new book. We haven't had new Funke that wast early chapter in a while. 5y
