The Woman in the Library | Sulari Gentill

This had a lot of promise.
But it seems like the secondary story is the most intriguing.
Glad I borrowed it from the library as the villain is the most easily picked. The whys are admittedly more muddled, but the meta conversation is the more intriguing.

15 years later and I finally got to see what Eddie and Jane have gotten up to in the Chromogencia!

I‘m a genuine Fforde Ffanatic, and started with Thursday Next‘s series, and have read everything I can get my hands on by one Fforde. But the wait for RSS was too long (though as a Nana fan, I should really stfu about waiting lol).
I may have shed a single tear at the end of the book (a big fat juicy tear). Very pleased…and hopeful for a third lol!

Mostly a pick, but i did find the ending conclusions made by the MC the soso part.
I‘m not a happy endings MUST be the conclusion for all books. In fact, this book does have a generally happy ending…but it also felt hopeless?
Overall though, I liked it. Again, personally I wanted simmering more in the end. But I do recommend it as a great horror romp!
(I genuinely thinks it was great!)

One of the loveliest & most satisfying novels I‘ve read!
A great summer read!
The book expresses unexpected hope in an engaging way w/ characters that are realistic & at times remarkably dim & of course remarkably bright!

Loved it! I‘m not good at writing reviews sadly. But I did love this!

Loved it! Great summer read for a pseudo-whodunnit(that‘s actually kind of obvious) but if you love to see a plan come together: you definitely should read this!

White Horse: A Novel | Erika T. Wurth

Fun ride of mild horror/ghost story.
Our heroine Kari loves metal, her dad, & her fave dive bar called White Horse.
The bar is ancient & in danger of closing; but Kari wants to buy it & keep it open.
Her dad? He was in an accident shortly after her mother—her dad‘s one true love—disappeared.
And heavy metal? Well, that‘s the book‘s underlying soundtrack—especially anything with Dave Mustaine!

Great pick ft a Native American woman‘s perspective!
