A gripping thriller! Relatively quick to read but jam packed with excitement. Definitely keeps you in suspense until the very last second.
Absolutely breathtaking! I couldn't put it down!
I absolutely loved this book! I was fighting back tears in the end.
"I'm seeing what I want to see, based on how I know it all turns out."
Did not expect to fall in love with a buddy cop style of book about a train-loving man and a flamboyant AI but here I am absolutely in love with it.
Expected hilarity to ensue and was not disappointed. Was pleasantly surprised to find a meaning that I will ponder for a while.
"Under those circumstances people behave differently."
"Just my luck. The first colleague I'd befriended at the agency and it was an alcoholic supercomputer."
It was slow to get into but once I got into it I really enjoyed it.
Loved the female characters. Imperfect mothers trying their best.
I appreciated the changes in POV throughout.
I have a love-to-hate relationship with stories where the main character is being manipulated in some regard. It‘s so intoxicating to read but I just want to grab Violet and shake some sense into her!
If you enjoyed the movie Gaslight or the book We Have Always Lived in the Castle, you will enjoy this book!
The way this sci-fi is written in a simple plausible manner really intrigued me.
Some of the turns are predictable but I do not think one is likely to guess the entire plot from the first chapters.
I listened to most of this via audiobook. The female narrator was really enjoyable to listen to and she has really great accents. The male had an introspective manner that was really nice, especially when listening to Christopher‘s inner dialogue.
I have been really drawn to books with characters that frustrate me. Tara made me yell in frustration and beam with joy. I listened to Educated on audiobook while I made my daily commute.
I will say if you are squeamish this book might be uncomfortable for you to read because it describes injuries in great detail.
