I really enjoyed this book, I started reading on Halloween and it fit the vibe perfectly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #silentpatient #phsycologicalthriller #booktography #goodreads
Maybe it was all the hype I‘ve heard about this one but I wasn‘t blown away. It was a good read and I enjoyed it. Plus it‘s another book off my ebook shelf.

I nearly DNF this book but luckily I had a close friend reading it at the same time but she was ahead of me and she was encouraging me to keep reading it and I‘m glad I did keep reading and parts 3 and 4 and 5 kept me wanting more and more and the twist omg I wasn‘t expecting that and the ending ong
⭐️⭐️⭐️ I don‘t read thrillers or psychological fiction very often, so I expected to be very affected by this one, and while I found it a good story, I ended up a bit underwhelmed.
I know I‘m late to the party reading this, and some of my reaction to it I‘m sure is colored by how much this was talked about.
So, overall I thought it was good, but I‘m surprised it got all the hype that it got.
Excellent audio narrators!
A woman who goes quiet, refusing to speak despite having MUCH to say…a man with an intense desire to make her speak…and a journal that holds all the answers. I enjoyed this book! It was one of those reads where you want to slow down and read each word thoroughly. There were a few lost plot lines in this story, but overall it was a worthy read! Also, I want to see the female protagonist‘s art come to life in a gallery exhibition!!
This was one of the better thrills I have read this year

I should have read this before! Was off my game and didn't figure this one out until it was all but blatantly obvious. Well written and great in #audiobook format. 🙃
This book was well written and full of twists! It‘s a bit darker of a thriller than I‘d normally read but definitely a must read!
I had read The Fury first and then saw reviews for this book after I had read the epilogue and unknowingly read a subtle spoiler. If I hadn‘t heard it was a spoiler, I think it would‘ve been more shocking of a story, but I still recommend it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In order, # 79, # 48, and # 67. I finally got around to it!! I tagged The Silent Patient because that is the one that I‘m gonna read first ^_^

🤯
It was a little too slow of a slow burn. However, once it took off, I could not put it down. Overall, I thought it was brilliant and I'm glad I finally read it, but I didn't love it and almost DNF'd.

I'm * almost* tempted to leave that Borders sticker on Micro since it's a relic, but um, No.
This might be one you just have to read for yourself to form a complete picture. I‘m not sure it *quite* lives up to the unbelievable hype, but it‘s definitely a decent, pacy read for the next time you want some twists and turns in your literary life. Now that I‘ve finally read this, I can understand why everyone went nuts over it but it just didn‘t do anything for me. I didn‘t like the writing, I didn‘t like the characters, I didn‘t like the convoluted plot twists and the endless red herrings. There was so much suspension of disbelief required for the last couple of chapters to make sense. Unfortunately this one got hyped a little too much for me. Hopefully book club will be a good time.
Feels like I‘m the last person in the world to read this but thanks to book club I‘ll finally do it! Cheers to the last train ride from Philly of the year.

This is the book that got me out of my recent reading slump. I read this around Halloween and it definitely fit the creepy vibes. Loved this psychological thriller and wasn't expecting the plot twist at the end.
Very much enjoyed. Keep you interested and trying to figure it out until the end.
I devoured this book. And even though I thought I had it figured out, there were two twists at the end that I didn't see coming at all.
Wow! Although this book felt like it took a little while to get going, the plot twist really took me by surprise. I liked the way the characters were written. Would definitely recommend!
What the what?! This was an amazing read, for the most part! Well thought out, but needed at least one more round of editing. The "shower of strings" on the harp took me out of the story briefly. I flew through this in less than 24 hours, staying up way too late to finish it, as it's 3:30 AM...perfect thriller for spooky season if you like psychological novels!
Hoooo boy. I may get some side eye over this, but I felt this book needed about 3 more rounds of editing. Great premise, juicy twists, plenty of red herrings, but when all was said and done, the big reveal left too many plot holes. To really nail your twisty thriller, it has to work forward AND backward, and too many things just didn‘t add up once the misdirection was cleared away. Good effort but sloppy execution. #TrappedinaSpookyHouse
I‘m not sure why I keep reading thrillers when I end up feeling disappointed every time.I‘m not usually one of those people who can guess a twist before it happens, but even I had some idea of where this story was going.Story is based on the Greek myth of Alcestis who volunteers to die in her husband‘s place. When she is brought back to life, she refuses to speak ever again.Based on the writing style I could tell the author has written screenplays
Wowza. Plowed through this in two days and was wholly unprepared for the last thirty pages. I‘m not usually one for psych thrillers but this was one that I couldn‘t put down!
I was told by my colleague that this would ruin all psychological thrillers for me as the twist is so insane.
I'll admit, it's fantastic. It's clever. It's quick paced. It's insane. BUT.... I guessed the twist 🤣🤣 even though I guessed the twist (and it's a fucking GENIUS twist) I still threw the book across the room because of the last chapter! What the fuck was that?!?!
A tense psychological thriller that was hard to put down. The ending surprised me.

"I don't know why I'm writing this.
That's not true. Maybe I do know and I just don't want to admit it to myself."

GIRLLLLL THIS BOOK WAS SO GUDDDDDDDDD AHHHH . SO this therapist is very intrigued with this girls case where she murdered her husband and never spoke again and now its his mission to try to get her to speak again and theres a plot twist that literallyyyyyyy blew me away. I LOVE PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLERS SO SO SO SO MUCH
Well, that was twisty.
Also reminded why I'm not drawn to thrillers. Only slept in bits & pieces, reading several times in the middle of the night to keep gathering information throughout the pages. Looking forward to sleeping well tonight, having finished the book.
Ok, so we have a "crazy" lady who is in the psych ward and won't talk. Years of not saying a word. But the twist at the end is what got me. I actually stopped the audiobook and shouted," OMG WHAT?!?" This is a must-read!

I figured out the plot within the first three chapters, so… yea… sigh
This was very fast paced and busy. I was not overly fussed on the structure of short, snappy sentences throughout the book.
I also couldn‘t connect to any of the characters; there was very little development in that aspect. The lack of depth made what could have been a potential page turner, very disjointed. Events also became unbelievable towards the end.
Another overhyped book from the ‘gram
I know that psychological thrillers are such a popular category, but I just haven‘t read that many, so I wanted to try reading a few. I picked this one to start… and it was the perfect pick! This book is so good. I was expecting it to be dark and cheesy, but it was honestly so well written. I‘m glad I gave it a try!
I powered through this one in less than 36 hours. It is worth the hype it has generated. It's been a long time since I stayed up way past my bedtime reading, but this book did that for me.
