Book number 4. Wow. I‘ve had this sitting on my shelf for nearly a year. I picked it up and read it in one sitting. Sepetys is an incredible historical fiction author and you can feel her character‘s thoughts and emotions bleed of the page. A part of history not often talked about but so important. 8/10

Hello! It‘s my last full week of school this year so I‘ve started my christmas clear out. I accumulate a lot of books throughout the year and doing a book a day starting the week before finals helps me feel more fulfilled and keeps me distracted from the terrible weather. This was book 3 and though I didn‘t love it as much as I loved other hoo or pj books it was still solid. I really appreciated the emphasis on dealing with trauma. 7.5/10

I've been on a short story kick for a little while and this one was honestly one of my favorites. It's a fast but very fun read that I would definitely recommend. The plot and characters are interesting and you can FEEL the tension.

Posting from a new format so hoping the picture can be seen. I‘m about a quarter of the way through and it‘s incredible. I‘m not always one for nonfiction but this book is incredible.

SamAnne I could not put it down. 8mo

Holy flicks. This book was so so so good. It‘s historical fiction based on the Mirabal sisters. OMG such an incredible story. I had to read it for school and the first couple chapters were iffy. But then it gets CRAZY GOOD. I recommend translating any Spanish. The characters were realistic and the shifting povs and perspectives really enhanced the storyline. According to the outside research, it‘s fairly accurate. 8.5/10

Okay. Recently reread this book because track season has started. Honestly, all the feels. My track team probably knows more about me than anyone else in my life. I have run something similar to just about every workout that he does. My coaches have inspired me and pushed me so far. The characters were good, came to life, and most importantly, felt like an actual team. If I wasn‘t already on an awesome track team, this book would make me join one.

LibraryFairy Also Ghost‘s fart licks are actually fartleks and, though I hate them with a burning passion (I ran one today 😭), they make you FAST. 12mo

Well, wasn‘t expecting to challenge myself to read a book a day until Christmas in the hopes that I will have shelf space for new books… but can‘t say I‘m surprised. Daughters of a Dead Empire was pretty interesting but I found myself appreciating the history and time period more than anything else. Definitely going to give this one some thought before I actually write a review

Okay. Not super sure how I feel about this one. I liked the story. Kinda. Still not entirely sure with this one. The characters were okay but the average for this is seriously brought down by the fact that I hated the main character. The side characters? Actually pretty good. Overall, not a bad book, just not what I was hoping for.

Happy holidays everyone!

A book focused solely on the og trio!! Percy, Annabeth, and Grover!! The first book came out more than twenty years ago and was the first and last to center on this trio. So excited and can‘t wait!!! Set post Hero‘s of Olympus and pre Trials of Apollo. This will follow the trio trying to help Percy get a college recommendation letter from a god by finding his chalice. Announcing this tight in the middle of college admissions season was smart Rick

THE TEASER TRAILER DROPPED!!!

Seriously, I am so excited! These books were my favorite for years. They still have a whole shelf on my (admittedly tiny) bookcase!

I did not know the novel would be in verse. It seems like a pretty quick read but who knows.

Honestly, I liked this book more than the first one! I felt the story and characters were incredible. The ending was really good. An incredible LGBTQ+ story featuring an interesting perspective from a scary time. I haven‘t seen aids actually talked about in a young adult book and I was glad that it was discussed. The pacing was a little off but overall a really good story that I loved!

I loved this book. I walked away and wanted a friendship like the main characters. The plot was really interesting. The first half was a little slow but the second half made up for that by being incredible. The characters were incredible. I would totally recommend for anyone who loves historical fiction and best friends!!

At first I wasn‘t exactly sure whether or not I liked this book. I loved some things and hated others. It had an interesting story in some places but I found myself getting bored in others. All the parents are really interesting characters that I loved a lot! I think Ari and Dante‘s growth was really nice! I would definitely recommend it but not to everyone. I don‘t regret reading it and I really loved it in some places, especially the end.
