Next Year in Havana | Chanel Cleeton

Enjoying a demitasse of Cuban coffee after having finished Chanel Cleeton‘s book about the Cuban revolution and its everlasting effect on the Cuban exile community. It hit very close to home as I was one of those Cuban refugees leaving Cuba and everything I knew, never to have returned again. Very emotional reading for me!

Loved this book! It has a wonderful H and h. The more I read by Anne Gracie, the more I like her!

ParagraphsandPetticoats I loved her "Perfect Series". Laughed a lot when reading those. Not sure I have read this one... I think I have it though! 7y
Mboujarwah @ParagraphsandPetticoats I have read the Perfect Rake several times. I love that book. I wish @Audible would get more of Ms. Gracie's books. This Devil Riders series is as good as her Perfect series. I am now starting book 4 of the 5. I am really enjoying them! 7y

I have really enjoyed this series. I am usually not too into the women's fiction genre, but this series is the exception. The characters are very well developed and multifaceted. It seems as if this is not the last installment..... looking forward to the next one!

I have only read one other Linda Howard book and it didn't particularly impress me, but this book was terrific. It was one of those books that leaves you thinking about the characters and going over the plot points in your mind. I really enjoyed it!

I love this book! Gideon, the hero is just adorable. He falls head over heals for a girl who everyone thinks is very plain. Ms. Gracie is a wonderful at character development and dialogue. I found my self laughing out loud many times. Loved this book!

ParagraphsandPetticoats I remember laughing out loud while reading this.. and I loved the little sister... didn't she kick him in the shin at some point?? 7y
Mboujarwah @ParagraphsandPetticoats she does! Grace is her name. The story is just great. 7y

I loved this book! I have enjoyed the other #wendywax books in this series but this one is my favorite so far. I am anxious to read the latest installment in the series One Good Thing. Amy Rubinate is an excellent narrator!

I love Anne Gracie! This is her latest, released on the 2nd of May. I purchased it as an audio book. Unfortunately, the narrator was not very good. The story was very good. One of the characteristics of Ms. Gracie's writing is the writing of wonderful dialogue. This book does not disappoint. I plan to get it as a e-reader book and reread it.

I have been looking for books narrated by Kate Fleming and that is the way I found this one. It is probably not JAK's best but listening to Ms. Fleming' s great narration made it great.

Audible is slowly releasing Mary Balogh's Slightly series. They are all narrated by Rosalyn Landor. The combination of Ms. Landor and Mrs. Balogh is magic. It is like the combination of Susan Duerden and Eloisa James, a perfect match. Listening to Mrs. Balogh's writing is just wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book even though I had read it several times already. I can't wait for the next installment in this series to be released.

I bought this book in audio format and Susan Duerden is the narrator. I had just finished listening to a book that I did not really enjoy that Ms. Duerden narrated so I was a bit apprehensive. From the start this book kept my attention. The characters are engaging and the children in the story are adorable. Highly recommend it!

This book was just ok. I found myself fast forwarding a bit. Even Susan Duerden, who is a great narrator didn't help much.

I "read" my books through Audible so the narrator has an important role in the review. I liked this story but the narrator was not very good. She did not have a very good reading style. I have already gotten the next book in the series through kindle.

What We Find | Robyn Carr

I don't know if I was influenced by everything that is going on in the world in general now, but I found this book a bit too dark! Everywhere you looked there was heartache and sadness. As I said, I am have been influenced by outside factors, but I fast forwarded a few chapters. I generally like Robyn Carr, and I know her books are not generally light and fluffy, but I had a hard time with this one.

Sometimes, because of reading so many books that are just ok, I forget the power of a truly well written book. Lavyrle Spencer is a master at her craft. I had read this book many years ago and liked it, but going back to it now made me realize just how good a writer LS was. From the first few pages, the power of the story and the depth of the characters is evident. I was glued to the book for 2 days. This is a book not to be missed. #osrbc

the_alternate_ending_library I loved the book Twice Loved 💞 7y
robinb I KNOW I've read this, but it was soooo long ago that I'm adding it to my TBR list. I loved Spencer back in the day!!! ❤Thanks for reminding me! 7y
