Join Robyn Carr, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Virgin River and Thunder Point series, as she explores the healing powers of rural Colorado in a brand-new story of fresh starts, budding relationships and one woman's journey to finding the happiness she's long been missing Between the urban bustle of Denver and the high-stress environment of a career in neurosurgery, Maggie Sullivan has hit a wall. When an emergency high-risk procedure results in the death of a teenager, Maggie finds herself in the middle of a lawsuitand experiencing levels of anxiety she's never faced before. She knows she needs to slow down before she burns out completely, and the best place she can think to do that is Sullivan's Crossing. Named for Maggie's great-grandfather, the land and charming general store at the crossroads of the Colorado and the Continental Divide Trails have been passed down through the generations and now belong to Maggie's eccentric father, Sully. When she shows up unannounced, he welcomes her with open arms, and she relishes the opportunity to indulge in his simple way of life. But shortly after arriving, Maggie's world is rocked once again and she must take on more responsibility than she'd planned. Though she's relieved a quiet and serious-looking hiker, Cal Jones, is willing to lend a hand, Maggie is suspicious of this mysterious man's eagerness to helpuntil she finds out the true reason for his deliberate isolation. Though Cal and Maggie each struggle with loss and loneliness, the time they spend together gives Maggie hope for something brighter just on the horizonif only they can learn to find peace and healingand perhaps lovewith each other."

WHAT WE FIND by Robyn Carr is a story that made me laugh and tear-up a few times. The setting was described perfectly, great characters, and a sweet HEA ending. Though the novel was enjoyable it has description overload, and that for me brings it to a 3* read.

Anyone else see TV show trailers and immediately check to see if they are based on books? Sullivan's Crossing looks so good! Hoopla has the series by Robyn Carr and the first one is good, an open door romance with drama, healing, family, and a beautiful setting. Will definitely keep reading this series.

Update: watched two episodes- many differences but I'm hopeful with RC being on hand it won't stray too much farther. 🫣 Why do they do that?

I love the Virgin River series by Robyn Carr and I was so excited to start another of her series and I really loved this book. This is the first in the Sullivan‘s Crossing series and I am already wanting book two! I found out the show will be on the CW so I‘m super excited to watch the show as well.

I really enjoyed Maggie and Cal's journey to happiness. Two people who start off thinking they are complete opposite end up realizing that they are more alike than they thought. They are essentially looking for the came thing...someone to travel life's journey that they can cherish.

I really enjoyed this book.
Robyn Carr's are well written, the characters are always ones that you can relate to. Her books always invite you in for a great read.
This is only the second book I've ever read by her, I like them because she doesn't have a lot of sex in them, and have an actual storyline.
I know I will be reading more of her books

I felt like this book really dragged on. It wasn't that interesting of a story to begin with, and I felt like it never ended! I included a picture of a chicken salad I recently ordered because I felt like it was perfect example of the book. Kind of bland, and tastelessly went on for too long.

TheHeartlandBookFairy It is my happy place @SilversReviews ! It also happens to be almost 90 degrees and the humidity is crazy high but there is a breeze and I do have the umbrella up. And I keep taking breaks and going into the house where I have the AC cranked LOL still, happier reading out there than anywhere else 😊 6y
Thesecretofabook I just got this book. I love Robyn Carr. I can't wait to see what she has in store for these to characters. 6y

This was boring for me. There was so much going on and I just felt like the focus wasn‘t there. I started to not really care what happened by the end, I just wanted to get to the end.

#aprilbookshowers #localauthor there are many local authors but I will highlight these two. Robyn Carr is known for serial romance novels set in small towns. Roger S. Baum is the descent of Frank L. Baum who wrote The Wizard of Oz series. Roger now is adding to the series with more books and stories. His work has been turned into movies and a t.v. show on Amazon Prime. @RealLifeReading

TobeyTheScavengerMonk Mega-Oz fan here. That's awesome! 7y
TEArificbooks @TobeyTheScavengerMonk i have meet him a few times at book signings and he spends several minutes with each fan, he is a great guy and gives full page dedications when he signs your book. I grow up in Kansas near the Oz museum and we would go for field trips. Despite all the How's Dorothy and where's Toto jokes I live Oz 7y

I don't know if I was influenced by everything that is going on in the world in general now, but I found this book a bit too dark! Everywhere you looked there was heartache and sadness. As I said, I am have been influenced by outside factors, but I fast forwarded a few chapters. I generally like Robyn Carr, and I know her books are not generally light and fluffy, but I had a hard time with this one.
