If you've waited a decade to read this series (like I have) I recommend you jump on this! Eragon features a sassy AF dragon, loyalty, friendship, an old bearded mentor that *actually* mentors the chosen one, sword fights, and an introduction to an elf that I can see becoming a favorite character as the series progresses. I'm so glad I finally picked this up!

Princess Pulverizer wants to be a knight simply because that's who she wants to be. Sure, she's horrible at singing and she trips on her own feet while dancing, but she never bashes princess life. Instead, she goes after what she wants. Along the way, she learns the power of leadership, teamwork, and to not judge others by their looks. I give the story four stars, and honestly, I think it would play wonderfully as a Netflix series for kids!

My favorite movie of all time. And then, just last year, I found out it was based on a book! And then. Oh AND THEN! I found out it's not *a* book, but a TWENTY-ONE book series!
Reading (and listening to) book one brought me right back into my favorite story, except now there's more details, more backstory, more jokes. There was a lot of jargon, to be sure, but I love Stephen Maturin almost as much as Rhy Maresh, so... I lived with it :P

dreams_in_blue I cannot wait to read this one!! 7y

Y'all. This is the cutest book, okay? As I read this out loud, my kids were giggling, and acting out scenes, and becoming convinced that I'm a fairy too. Amelia made me promise to make pink cupcakes with her, and she wants to give this book ALL the stars, not just five. We've read the third story, Betteridoo!, together so many times, I nearly have it memorized. Also, she sleeps with the book like it's a stuffed animal. It gets all the stars!

Look! Look! My first completed novel of 2018! I've never read a noir crime book before, but this was so fun! I listened to the BBC audiodrama of this one too, and I highly recommend it! This book was 3.5 stars from me

It's been a long time since I've read a middle grade novel. Friends, #ScarIsland did not disappoint. I even downloaded the audiobook so I didn't have to stop reading while driving. The story was engaging, a tiny bit suspenseful, and a definite recommendation. Especially if you know any middle grade boys that are starting to think that reading isn't cool any more. Seriously, give them this book.

#RonitAndJamil 🍀🍀 two clovers. I loved that this book was a diverse retelling of Romeo and Juliet BUT it just wasn't believable. In the original, it is obvious that R+J are madly in love and there's no way to deny this. But in the retelling (written in verse), the love seems forced and I don't buy it. I think an #OwnVoices story would have been 1000x better. As a reader, you can tell when the author knows what they're talking about.

I just finished reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Now I'm trying to use this app. How am I doing? Got any tips? How do I talk to people?

eoanthoughts I'm having hard time find people on here, but I suppose it is new. And there is no "explore" area - though you can scroll through different peeps via book search. But overall it feels more like a quick review spot. I do like the posting method. And the Litfluence bit. 9y
