Forgot to post this last night. Got a good amount of time in with my physical book when I took my daughter to the library to study, and finished Slaughterhouse when running errands and doing chores. The weekend was way too short, hoping I can carve out time tonight to keep going with this Readathon. #TurnThePage

I‘ve been running around all day which let me listen to most of the audiobook for Slaughterhouse-Five. Finally I‘m home and in my comfy clothes and ready to dive into a mystery. #AuthorAMonth #TurnThePage

I got some good audiobook time in today between work and laundry, and now I‘m just waiting for everyone to ***please*** stop talking to me so I can read for a few hours before I have to pick my daughter up. #TurnThePage

I read this week‘s chapter of Magnetic North for work book club, and then turned to Smile Beach Murder. Hoping to read a bit more before bed but today was my early day so we‘ll see.

It‘s almost Friday!

I barely made the train, and it‘s so humid I‘m not sure my hair will ever dry today, but I‘m ready and excited to get my #ReadThePage Readathon reading started!

There was a time when I would have chosen to ignore a reasonable bed time and risk my attitude being that of a grouchy 3 year old in the name of 100 pages. Last night I chose sleep. Is this maturity?

Jill, thank you so much for running this readathon. There is something special about knowing others are reading along with you that I find motivating. I finished 3 books: The Stolen Queen, Bryant and May: Oranges & Lemons, & Misfortune. Murder at Gull‘s Nest is an audiobook- I did make progress on that. Quick #SummersEndReadathon post while I wait for my tea to steep. Thursday and Friday were exhausting so I didn‘t read or post much but now it‘s Saturday and I‘m back, baby!

🔥 I caught up with The Age of the Innocence
🇮🇹 I‘m committed to finishing The View From Lake Como today before the library takes it back
🐌 Getting what I need to work on snail mail and fall card swaps. (Not reading but reading adjacent)

I‘ll probably get in a few more pages before I got to sleep but so far I‘m at 350 of 1,000 pages and I‘ve finished this book I already had going (History Lessons) and started my book club read (Confessions) which is actually a reread for me. Can‘t wait to talk about it tomorrow night, it‘s going to be so fun!

Thanks so much to @Andrew65 and @Tove_Reads for hosting the #ShelfSweeper readathon in May. I was uncertain at first but I managed to read all six of my planned books. 🤩 I appreciate this kick in the pants to dust off (sometimes literally! 😂) a few of those lingering tomes and read ‘em!

I have four books on my TBR list for the holiday weekend. I will finish Play Along today. I started Nocticadia and haven't been able to get into it. Therefore, after I try again, I might put it aside for another time. Then, I will hopefully get the other two books read over the weekend.
