I honestly don't know what to think about this book. It was so.. odd. I'm having conflicting emotions. It was so unlike what I was expecting.

A reread in preparation for the sequel. Love it just as much the second time round.

About 90 pages in and I'm pleasantly surprised. I'm really loving this book.
This book was that ridiculous that I actually struggled to finish it. It left me kind of dumbfounded.
Pretty average read unfortunately. The writing was good but i didn't feel any connection to characters at all.
Only 60 pages in but I love love love the writing. Can't wait to see where this story goes.
I'm halfway through this and I have to say that I am underwhelmed. I can't seem to connect with the main character or the style of writing.
I'm halfway through this book and I'm liking it. The concept is intriguing but I can't help but feel that it's far too long.
“You only missin‘ if somebody looking for you.” Kat‘s words slice through the air. “Understand? We ain‘t missin‘ Peach. We just gone”. This book was heartbreakingly brilliant.
The Ice Child was my first experience with the author Camilla Lackberg. I did enjoy it but I had a hell of a time trying to keep track of all the characters. Aside from that it was a fast paced read. And that ending! Wow.
This book is one of favourites for the year. Highly recommend.
I'll admit I have a fascination with cults so when I discovered this gem in my bookshop I was excited. It was good, the prose fantastic but the plot? It felt like nothing happened. Maybe I had the wrong expectations with this novel. Oh well, it was enjoyable nonetheless.
Oh boy, what a book this was. The plot itself was nothing groundbreaking but I still found myself totally absorbed. Loved it.
I really wanted to love this but this book is living proof of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I had no problems with the prose. However, where on earth are the speech marks? It was rather infuriating and it really detracted from the reading experience. My other issue lay with the characters. I didn't connect with any of them which is such a shame because there was so much potential. All in all, a disappointing read.
