Wonderful illustrations, not so good storytelling.

Insightful, reassuring and honest. Enjoyed reading this book more than any other "cancer" book since my own diagnosis. I identified with this quote in so many ways. I'm pretty sure every cancer patient could at some point in their treatment. ???

Started reading "Killers of the Flower Moon" and the story grabbed me from the very beginning. The rest are on standby for #deweyreadathon this weekend. ??

My first shot on the graphic novel world. Engaging, entertaining, sad, happy, funny and compassionate. The heartbreak of a nation combined with the reality of the author's own life. Great illustrations!

ZoeyPeacock I loved the first, then never picked up the second when it came out. I've just ordered it and can't wait! 8y
Yasmineokla I enjoyed the second just as much as I did the first book Zoey! 8y
Gezemice This is a great book. I have started with graphic novels this year myself and now I am hooked! There is so much more to them than men in capes. 8y

Yasmineokla Any other recommendations on graphic novels are welcome! 8y
Yasmineokla @Gezemice what other ones have you enjoyed? 8y
Gezemice The most gripping of all (and one of the best books, ever) is Maus. The Saga series is an innovative space opera. Watchmen is another take on the men in capes. Blue Is The Warmest Color is a great love story. American Born Chinese a growing up story. That's my haul by far, all great! 8y

Found it repetitive and shallow. Entertaining as a blog but as a book it did not hold my attention.
