Somewhere along the line, Sandra Brown's books became dang good! I flew through this one and a twist at the end caught me totally off guard in the best way. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think this is one of my favorites of those I‘ve read of Sandra Brown. Nice twist at the end. Emery is attacked while training for a marathon and then disappears.
Emory Charbonneau is kidnapped in the mountains while out training for a marathon run, but is her captor really as dangerous as he seems?
Having just argued with her husband, he is late to report her missing, and most are quick to jump to assuming his involvement.
Some fun twists and, yes I did see the ending coming, but I still enjoyed it. Some of the depicted romance scenes were worthy of rewinding the audiobook to hear a 2nd time!
Nothing like reading a good murder mystery at 3 am! This is the 2nd or 3rd book I have read by this author and she does disappoint me. She reminds me of Lisa Jackson...a little suspense with a touch of romance!
Mean Streak is a fast paced novel of deception and suspicion. This was a good romantic suspense, characters you can relate, the story zigged and zagged with an ending you could not see coming. I found this to be a very enjoyable read and would highly recommend.
Well. First time I can say I‘m happy to be sending a book back to the library. I guess this is a romance-thriller? Guess what-found out that‘s just not my thing.
I have barely started this and already I‘m uncertain I can continue with this narrator. I hope the story pulls me in but I may need to switch to print. 😳
One of my favorites by Sandra Brown! Suspenseful until the end & although I thought I had predicted the ending, I was completely wrong. Brown added romantic parts throughout the story, developing each character. Difficult to put down the book! Would absolutely recommend.
⭐⭐⭐
The second book I've read set in my home state of #NorthCarolina. Overall I enjoyed this book, it was somewhat predictable.
Have been absent these past months! But now I‘m back and looking forward to this book distracting me from all the chaos of the Christmas season. #fridayreads #sandrabrown #weekendreading

Sandra Brown writes some edge of your seat suspenseful thrillers with some steams scenes in Mean Streak she can make a cabin in the woods in the dead of winter hot in herre! 😄😄
Coffee, avocado toast and thrift store treasure...
Well, this was ridiculous. I should perhaps start reading blurbs more carefully. And the audiobook narrator! His “mysterious guy” voice sounded like Kylo Ren which was awesome, but all his other voices were cringeworthy.
New audiobook as I “anchor” my quilt with wavy lines. Difficult stuff! This thing weighs a ton, probably more than my cheap Singer machine 😬 I have a second not-so-cheap Husqvarna machine as well, but it lacks a walking foot, which (like all quilting equipment) costs like $100 here. No one ever told me quilting is a hobby for the rich! (I so ordered my Singer waking foot for like $10 from China)
I judged this book - harshly - too soon. Yes, it‘s a bit cliché, somewhat predictable, and a bit trashy. But I didn‘t mind! It was full of suspense and the smuttiness wasn‘t too coarse. It‘s a nice fluff read. Recommend as a plate cleanser or if you need something light while traveling/home for the holiday (but read some of those pages in private!?)
#7 Snow on the cover for #jingleshelves
Always loved Sandra Brown. Don't own many titles with snow on the cover this was a good one takes place on an icy mountain in the wilderness. @bookloo @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks #snowonthecover
I‘m dying. The suspense was good, I suppose still is good, but it‘s definitely soap opera far fetched..... getting a bid if a headache from rolling my eyes at the moments of reveal..... I won‘t quit, though! Can‘t put down a book unfinished - who knows what the unread pages will hold?!
This is the first Sandra Brown book that I‘ve read and I was not disappointed! I will definitely be reading her other novels.
My very first audiobook. Makes the ride to and from anywhere and everywhere so much more enjoyable. Love that drive time isn't wasted anymore!
I enjoyed this! It was the right balance of romance, suspense and mystery. I will definitely read more of her books.
I liked this story, lots of twists, some predictable, some not. Wasn't sure how it would end until the end.
Even on a cold day the ocean relaxes me. Parked in front of the ocean doing a little reading. #LitsyAtoz
Starting this beauty today! #sandrabrown is one of my favorite authors of all time. #LitsyAtoZ challenge - Letter "M".
More book space at last! Up to 3 bookshelves total. 😅
Now back to working my way through my library stack. 📚
#currentlyreading! The Boston Girl is for book club and Mean Streak is a random library ebook pick because I'm waaaaay ahead on my TBR this month. #thebostongirl #meanstreak #bookclub #ebooks #kobo #tbr
I am a bit embarrassed by the number of books I've read...but it will be more next year!!
I'm enjoying it! Never been a fan of Sandra Brown but I'm enjoying the audio version....
Finished this while folding laundry. Eh...parts of it were suspenseful, parts were sexy, parts made me smile in appreciation of the twists. But there was also a lot of WTFery and plot holes the size of Kansas. While I liked the hero at his core, his motivation bugged me. Liked the audiobook narrator a lot!
Listening to this one while walking again, now that kiddo is back in school.
Mean Streak is about a Dr who goes missing. Turns out a few people might like to see her dead.....but who? I'm biased because I love Sandra Brown's books. Whenever i'm looking for a quick mystery she never lets me down!
