The Secret Life of Bees | Sue Monk Kidd

Happy New Year to everyone! What's your New Year resolution (book and non- alike)? I'm going into 2020, looking for self-acceptance and peace, but also filling my life with books. My 1st bookish goal is to read everything off of my physical TBR shelf (1st book up: pictured), and the 2nd is to fill my life with a read anytime I'm feeling down. Who can't be happy with a book?

I've been reading so much lately, especially after getting a Kindle from my fiance. I just finished this one... and oh my gosh. What an adorable read! I need to keep reading books like this. It just makes me realize how little you need to be happy.

marleed I loved this book! 5y

What a stressful week. Taking out some self-care tonight by breaking out a book, blanket, heating pad, and steamed milk. So cozy!

I wish I could get paid to read. Cosied up on a chilly but sunny Sunday evening.

Super creepy. Ended up having to read it when my fiance was home so I didn't get super freaked out. The original movie is one of my favorite horror flicks, now it's time to go see the remake this week.

This book is amazing. I wasn't fond of Eleanor at 1st (which is a big case of "don't judge a book by it's cover"), but now, she is probably one of the best characters I've read. Emotional, strong plots, deep characters, huge plot twist... I can go on, and can't Express how good this book is, or how it made me feel.

Bless mom and pop shops. Got all of this from one store for cheap and next weekend, I'll be going to a different local bookstore. Shop small! The only one I've read is TKaM, and I cant wait to read the others.

A Wrinkle in Time | Madeleine L'Engle

I watched the movie about a month ago, and just now finished the book for the 1st time. My gosh, did they mess up the movie version. No justice was served.
