I work at a library and am fortunate enough to not have to spend money on most of the books I want to read. So I think the proof of how good this book is and how important a read it is can be found right here. This is a must read for feminists and a recommended read for anyone wishing to understand the struggles women go through. I can't wait to return the library copy and put my brand new one on my shelf!!
This whole book is genius and eye-opening and capital-W Wonderful, but this chapter in particular NEEDS to be read by all. West calls out the misogynist side of comedy and brilliantly explains why certain jokes just aren't funny. Thank you, Lindy West!
Once I got over the horror of cutting up a book (don't worry; it was a library discard!) it was incredible to turn my favorite childhood novel into a beautiful set of coasters. Now every time I use them I will be transported back into the wizarding world JKR crafted so beautifully!
This book was wonderful. It dealt with the severity of the vigilante business and the inexperience of youth in a way that felt refreshing and honest. It wasn't a ragtag group of kids making things worse; it was a carefully chosen group learning together. Excellent read! (Bonus points for HP jokes!)
Juan Salvado is the cutest ever and now I want my own penguin. Except also I don't because I don't want to have to rescue one from terrible conditions! This book has been wonderful so far and I'm anxiously awaiting a negative twist, because so far it has been smooth sailing.
Outdoor reading weather is the best weather, and penguins are the best birds. Excellent combo.
This was the perfect way to wrap up this series. Of course I'm still sad that Gerald and Piggie are done with their shenanigans, but this was a touching ending. And great to read aloud!
This is what happens when books cost upwards of $200 to replace. Poor book. I'll be careful, I promise! #libraryproblems
But do your coworkers give you old copies of Game of Thrones with 90's 35-year-old Jon Snow on the cover? No? Then clearly mine are superior.
Gerald and I are twins! We both love ice cream and regularly debate pros and cons for way too long. Plus there's the existential crisis thing, but that's a whole other book.
