This isn‘t even for the Litsy Reading Response project but I couldn‘t help but post this! At B & N right now reading this book from the Elephant & Piggie series... If anyone remembers from my Author Study, one of my fun facts that I shared was how the pigeon is secretly hiding in every Mo Willems book. This book #25 is sadly Mo Willems last one in the series. Along with the book inside there‘s a cute stand-up cardboard cut out saying “thank you for being a reader.”

Last nights bedtime reading to Mimi. Her school is participating in the Pizza Hut Book It program. My children were in it and I love they‘re still offering it. What a fun incentive - who doesn‘t love pizza! 📖🍕

It‘s Read Across America week and today I read The Thank You book to my younger son‘s kindergarten class and got this cute “Volunteer Reader‘s Survival Bag”.

I was very surprised to receive a big variety of bookmarks from @LibrarianRyan for participating in #WeAreTheReaders, a Queen-inspired photo challenge. Thank you R.A. for the gift and for hosting the fun challenge.
What makes this extra nice for me is that I had lost the bag I kept my bookmarks in and was reduced to using paperscraps until now 😀

Mo Willems‘ Elephant and Piggie books are the Dick and Jane books of this generation. They are simple beginner reader books with simple concepts and funny stories. In this book, Piggie is going to say Thank you to everyone he knows for all the ways they help Piggie. But Elephant is sure that Piggie has forgotten someone. Do you know who he forgot?
