Took Roshar to the beach some days ago. This is so good! I missed this characters and story so much. I am making one of my literary missions to read everything that Sanderson wrote and will write.

Enjoying some well deserved vacations, I finally finished American Gods. Man, what a ride! I really liked this book and the questions it poses. It is about faith, love, religion, friendship, what it means to be human and a deity. It is about how important heritages are, and how ancient traditions and beliefs can only remain alive as long as someone remembers them. Such a vivid and symbolic book, I really liked it!
After two months without reading (started a new job, writing my PhD thesis, papers, essays, and so on), it seems I finally adapted to my new life and started to read again for pleasure! I'm half way through American Gods, and loving it. Let's see how it goes! 😊
I was reading this on my Kobo, but I was liking it so much that I ended up buying the actual book. The book was on my reading list for some years now, and I figured that now would be a good time to start reading it, with the tv series coming up in April. The verdict so far? Loving it!
I have finished this book a bit more than a week ago and I absolutely loved it! What an amazing ride, amazing characters and story. I think the strong point of this trilogy are the characters, they are so well written, they have such depth that I grew attached to them. Fitz, Burrich, the Fool, Chade, they are going to be with me for a long time, and I am sure I will continue to read the following books, sometime in the future.
A little bit of Fitz before I fall asleep. Reading the right book at the right time of my life. It has kept me such company! I'm half way through the book, and loving it.
I really liked this book! Like the previous one, this is not a fast paced book full of action scenes. It is more about the characters, mainly FitzChivalry, and court intrigues in BuckKeep. I love Fitz, Burrich and the Fool, they are my favourite characters. That ending blew me away, and I am so curious as to what follows, that I am already starting the next one!
That's how I have been spending most of my nights this week. Reading, drinkng tea, and serving as a bed to my cat. Love it! #boutofbooks
Nothing like finishing my day reading next to a heater and, of course, my cat. 😍🐱📚 Also, I'm reading Robin Hobb's Royal Assassin.
I finished this book yesterday and I liked it. It is full of dark humour and I loved Yulric, the vampire of the story. I really liked the premise of the story, a vampire that comes to this century to re-establish the original fame of his kind, although no one believes that he is a vampire. It is a light read, full of funny characters and some parts that will really make you laugh. All in all, it is a good enterntaining book.
I am giving this one a try. The premise seems very interesting, and I am in need of something light, fun and a bit dark.
I enjoyed this book, but I think I would've enjoyed more if I was the age of the main character, Jacob. It is definitely a good story, with its mysteries, strange creatures, and adventures, but the sense of wonder of the protagonist was not the same as mine. probably because I'm older. But I liked it and will surely read the next book in the trilogy.
Finished reading this book yesterday, and loved it! I loved getting to know Fitz and all the characters associated with him. I feel this is a book more about growing up and discovering one's true identity, than a book with many action moments and plot twists. There are some tense moments, of course, but it is more focused on characters, specially Fitz. I look forward to reading the other books! 👍
Just a little sneak peek of my bookshelves. Some Sanderson, a Shakespeare bust, Poe, Dumas, and a lot of books dealing with fantasy, mythology, the Middle Ages.. Stuff I read or have to read for my PhD.
Reading one more chapter before falling asleep. Almost halfway through, and loving it!
This book is amazing! One of the best fantasy books I've ever read. I'm a big fan of Sanderson, and this book just made me want to read everything he writes! Love, love this book.
I read this book at a time when I needed distraction from life in general. And it did just that: entertained me, I found it funny at times, and it had a satisfying ending. It's a good book.
I really liked this book, it's a fantasy classic. Although more suitable for young readers, I think adults will enjoy it too.
I loved the story of Sarah Grimké and Hetty. It's an amazing story of friendship through very troubled times in the history of the United States of America. Loved the characters and the historical backdrop. One of my favourite books this year.
This was the first book I read this year. What an amazing ride and a fascinating universe! Totally a science fiction classic, recommended to everyone who likes the genre. Absolutely loved it!
