Even better than The Way of Kings! The action really ramps up in this book, and Shallan continues to be a cool character. Some surprise revelations at the end make it a tough wait to read the third book!

For the #CosmereBuddyRead, a silly meme that appeared in my FB feed 😂
I liked this one. I kinda want to read the next one now. lol But from what I have read the order matters. Oh, well. I can‘t wait to hear what you all thought of where this one went. There was on part where I cheered really loud. I bet you can guess. #CosmereBuddyRead
Sorry I‘m late. I might have forgotten what day it is. Summer is not my season. Anyway, I‘m so glad there are other books in this series, because I don‘t think we are going to get all the answers I need by the end of this one. And I was so worried he was going to kill someone I liked this week. I am riding in the edge. I have trust issues with this man now. lol
#CosmereBuddyRead
I fell behind on this part for a bit. Summer is so busy. And so hot. Yuck. I‘m just finishing up the interludes today. But that was an action packed section wasn‘t it? And I loved the scene with Wit. I hope there is more of that to come. #CosmereBuddyRead
Hubby likes to buy me weird gifts that I might love just because I‘m weird. I love my new reading pool! It has just enough water to stay cool while getting a little sun. The hardest part is not getting too much sun. I just need him to bring me drinks now.
Happy Canada Day! This one is getting really hard to put down between parts. But I make myself because I want to avoid posting spoilers. lol I‘m very interested to see where things go now that Shallan and Kal have met. And just where did that Shardblade come from?!
#CosmereBuddyRead
This month I managed to read the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy, 3 Camp Litsy books, the Belladonna series and STILL my favorite of the month is yet another Brandon Sanderson #CosmereBuddyRead book. I‘m obsessed. But Onyx Storm is still on its way to being my favorite of the year. If Sanderson begins to include dragons then Yarros might be in trouble. 🤣 #readingbracket2025
My #CosmereBuddyRead peeps- I am literally screaming!!!! I had 7 hours on a round trip train ride for a quick DC trip so I accidentally finished this. Screaming. Just Wow. Pro tip- don‘t start part 5 until you are ready to read it in one sitting. I couldn‘t stop. I have sooo many thoughts and cannot wait for the ending discussion. I ❤️ Kaladin. That‘s it. It gets all the stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘m posting this tonight, because I‘m going to be really busy for the next couple of days and I didn‘t want to forget. Was that not an amazing first part?! I was happy and sad and anxious. So many surprises! I can‘t wait to see where Sanderson takes us next.

Happy Tuesday! Here is the reading schedule for Words of Radiance. I think it‘s going to be a good one. I just started it and I already have so many questions! I can‘t put it down.

I don‘t know what to say besides I love this book! This was definitely a Sanderson year for me 😜

An audio copy of WORDS OF RADIANCE came in for me 12 weeks sooner than scheduled. I‘ve been listening as much as possible so I can finish it in time to also squeeze in a holiday romance before Christmas, which meant it was time to break out the Mustang puzzle I‘d been saving for a special occasion. Now that I‘ve seen 50 years of Mustangs all in one place, I can confirm the ‘69 is 100% my fave. I only wish they‘d used the orange convertible here.
My 5 ⭐️ reads of 2024 (so far 😊) 4 of them are rereads but still 5 stars 🥰

Another 1000+ pages - 48 hours on the audiobook - in to the Stormlight Archive, and I am loving every minute!
The fact that this world is so full, the characters so real, and the whole experience so accessible - it‘s just incredible.
Jasnah Kholin pretended to enjoy the party, giving no indication that she intended to have one of the guests killed.

Such a good book in development of the characters and plot! It had its highs and revelations! And its lows and inner turmoil for the main characters. It even opened a lot of questions that I hope the next book in the series will answer.
I listened to the audiobook (49 hours), but sooo worth it! The two narrators do a superb job reading!
Reread complete! One of my very favorite books and just as good on reread. I‘ll continue my reread of the series with Oathbringer next month. 5⭐️
#doublespin done!
I haven't been posting on here as much because it's taking me a LOT longer to finish each book now that I've gotten into Brandon Sanderson. So here is an interlude (iykyk) of my little reading buddies. Mars Bars has taken up a new habit of taking this donut bed with her everywhere, even on our couch.
Winston refuses to sit next to her when she acts like this, so he curls up in a ball right under my feet.🤍
I loved book 1 so much that I bought book 2 right away...and the rest of this series (including pre-ordering book 5), the rest of Mistborn, the short stories and novellas of the Cosmere, Elantris, Warbreaker, Yumi...I feel so behind in the fandom and I just want to marathon read alllll of it like yesterday. 📚
A continuation of the Stormlight Archives following four to five main characters with occasional short entries of other character spread out in the book. There‘s so much going on in these books that it‘s hard to summarize… yet at the same time it feels like not much has happened either??🙈 I am enjoying reading these but the books are a huge commitment both time and memory wise. Magic, sword fighting, and adventure!

January 1 - December 31, 2024
I plan on continuing the Stormlight Archive series with book two. And read all 12 books in the Rake Review “monthly” series; romances by the Brazen Belles.
Today I wanted to read my reviews and rank The Stormlight Archives books in the order of the ones I enjoyed most to least.
Now don‘t get me wrong, I enjoyed all of them.
This is just a way for me to compile my thoughts into one place for easy access when book five comes out. So head to Wildwood Reads to see why I ranked each book the way I did and join the discussion.

This is one of my favorite books of all time. The story is amazing and it is a wonderful book for big fantasy readers. Brandon Sanderson takes you on a wild ride in the adventures in this awesome read. Filled with exciting events, characters, and dialogue you will not be disappointed. As Roshar struggles to survive its inner fighting, a new power is rising. The knights radiant must be born again to save the world of men.
Here is my finished 2022 Reading Bracket. My top read of the year was Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson. It was also the longest book I read at well over 1k pages. It was a great year of reading!
Thank you @chasjjlee for creating this great bracket!
I have been quite sick, and unable to pick up a book. (Which really sucks!). I am going to try and get into these two, and listen to some as well, hopefully while doing puzzles.
Anyone else felt so weak from being sick, that you couldn't pick up a book??
Happy New Year's Eve! 🎉🎉🎉 Is anyone doing anything fun? I'm spending the last day of the year enjoying some Sanderson awesomeness! 💕📚💕
My last wrap up of the year. I didn‘t read many books in December but I finished Words of Radiance. That‘s feels like a win to me. What did you read this month?
Check out my wrap up post: https://wildwoodreads.com/2022/12/30/december-2022-wrap-up/
I am catching up on #12Booksof2022 here are my first five months:
January: Razorblade Tears - a fantastic revenge thriller
February: Project Hail Mary - a fun sci-fi that‘s about friendship
March: The Firekeeper‘s Daughter - A dark YA thriller
April: The Bitter Twins - the 2nd book in an amazing yet lesser known epic fantasy trilogy
May: Words of Radiance - book 2 in the Stormlight Archive which I caught up on this year & my fav of the series
Taking pictures outside is all fun and games until it‘s 36 degrees out and everything is covered in frost. 😅
But the cold weather does make for cozy reading inside the house. I‘m hoping to finish Words of Radiance up in the next couple of days. Then I‘m going to jump right into Krampus. I love a spooky Christmas story.
What are you reading this week?

I love a good Christmas craft, especially when I can make it bookish. And this one was super easy. Plus, it‘s a fun way to incorporate your favorite book map into your Christmas decorations.

Who‘s your favorite Cosmere character?
I think mine is Shallan so far. I‘ve adored her from the first moment that I picked up The Way of Kings and that‘s carried over into Words of Radiance.
But I‘m sure my favorites will change the further I read into the Cosmere. That‘s why I decided to do a dedicated blog post. I wanted to document my favorites so far and see how they change the more I read.
It‘s that time of year again. Time for my bookish Christmas gift guide. So I thought I‘d give you a little sneak peek of one of the presents that I added. My husband got me a @bigblanketco blanket and it‘s literally the coziest thing ever. It‘s 10‘x10‘ and completely over the top. But I absolutely love it. I knew it would be perfect for this list. Because who wouldn‘t love reading a Christmas story under a 100 square foot blanket? 😂😂😂
I had intentions of taking a cute stack picture of my tbr. But I forgot to do that yesterday. And this morning was absolutely freezing. Everything had a thin layer of ice on it and the wind kept blowing everything around. So long story short. Play like I haven‘t shared these pictures before. 😂😂😂

Happy Thanksgiving, Littens. Tonight I‘m thankful for family, friends, thick books, and cozy blankets. I‘m glad I‘m squeezing some time to read in before I succumb to a food coma. 😂
#wondrouswednesday
1. I am usually reading a couple books at the same time. Usually one on audiobook and one physical and sometimes a third on my Kindle.
2. Tagged is my current favorite of the year. I have bailed a few things this year, probably the most notable is The Atlas Six, which I bailed on twice…
What‘s on your November tbr? 🍁🍁🍁🍁
I still have a couple of spooky books that I want to read. Then I hope to dive back into The Stormlight Archives this month. *fingers crossed*
Full tbr: https://wildwoodreads.com/2022/11/01/november-2022-tbr/
I might finish one or two by the end of the month but they won‘t be my favorite. The Poison Song - end of a trilogy - was amazing but Words of Radiance is still my top read of the year so far.
#readingbracket2022
I didn‘t enjoy this quite as much as Way of Kings but it was still a great novel. I felt overwhelmed at times with the world building. Shallan also drove me insane during this book.
This was phenomenal. I enjoyed book 1, but like all epic fantasy book 1‘s, it was heavy on world building and introduction of characters, so it took a long time to get to the action. This is 1300 pages of action and amazing characters. This is a beautiful high fantasy world and this book is added to my favorite reads of all time. I am a full on Sanderson fan now! 5⭐️
#Chunksterchallenge - 1310 pages!
#NSR22 - epic fantasy

I did a little book shopping today. It feels like it‘s been forever since I set foot into a bookstore. I went in for Words of Radiance but I got distracted along the way.
I‘ve been wanting Deserter for awhile but I‘ve never heard of The Haunted Bookstore. Let me know in the comments if you‘ve read it. I‘d love to hear some reviews.
Nice impressed with my self 4 months to complte this on and off go me!!!!
Looking forward to reading edge dancer then onto book 3
Massive book it was and I did it and understood it better then first one but did prefer the first one way of kings not sure why yet need to process my thoughts 🤣.
Nice brew and carry on reading :) nice chilled day off.

7) The Survivors
8) Anna Karenina
9) The Snow Child
10) The Stormlight Archives (particularly Words of Radiance)
Runners Up: Before the Coffee Gets Cold, The Lazy Genius Way, Beartown, Amelia Unabridged, Address Unknown, & The Book of Will
