KatherineBeckham I forgot about this book, but after seeing your image, I know I have certainly read it when I was younger. I remember I loved looking at all the colorful images in the story. Frederick is a field mouse who sits around while his brothers are gathering food for the winter. Frederick‘s brothers assume Frederick is lazy and does not want to help, but Frederick is gathering other items for the winter. #ucflae3414

elifkelly On his journey through the ocean, the small fish ensures the readers that his stolen hat is safe with him, as the large fish had no way of knowing it was gone. While he continues on his journey, the small fish is unaware that the large fish is in pursuit of him. Readers are able to feel the suspense and urgency build throughout the story. 7y

Click Clack Moo tells the story of cows on Farmer Brow‘s farm who find a typewriter and make various demands. The Giver focuses on a young man named Jonas who lives in a dystopian society where emotions and pain are eradicated through a plan called “sameness.” Jonas is chosen to be the Receiver of Memory, and is given memories of the past before “sameness” to help his community with decision making. #ucflae3414f17

Palacio, is a New York Times best selling RF novel that tells the story of a young boy with a facial deformity who after years of homeschooling, decides to try going to a mainstream school for the first time. Wonder would work well with LC, IR, PR, SR, and DR. Wonder is a great book that supports diverse children and is a great example of how kindness should be spread. #ucflae3414f17
