Well, Libby is currently too buggy to allow me to check out even one book, but I like their extremely polite and transparent request for app permissions! (I really wish I could like it as much as I want to but it's just. always. broken.)

pickUpdate: finished it. And you know maybe I'm being too salty and maybe it's just that Maggie Nelson reminds me of myself (the passages about being a perfectionist, whew!) but I felt like it could have been less detached and dense! Can't believe this one queer woman's memoir wasn't everything I wanted it to be UGH. The best parts--and they were very very good--were more based in experience and less in endless citations. I'm salty I'm sorry.
I am way late to the party on this one--I tried reading it when it came out but honestly I think I wasn't ready for it. There's still a lot more feminist theory here than I care to know about (tbh) but the queer internet was so excited about it that I wanna understand #queerlit #overdrive

I read this a few years ago in college & now I'm rereading since failure has been on my mind lately (also now I am way more familiar with video games, ha). It's a different read now--been taking lots of notes to figure out how I feel about it!
