I am a huge fan of the thrillers where a woman finds herself face to face with death and says, “not today... or tomorrow... or the next day.” Taylor Adams totally nailed it with his heroine Darby. 10/10 I would die for her.

I saw the movie trailer (but not the movie) before reading the book, and let me tell you, I totally did not expect the book to go the way it did. That being said, I really enjoyed it. It‘s not the kind of book I normal read, but I was pulled right in and finished it in a single sitting. All the little reveals made it feel like I was becoming best friends with the characters as they slowly divulged all their secrets.
There may be a day when I say “I‘m just going to finish this chapter” and actually mean it. . . but today is not that day.
One of my favorite books the reread. . . Laini Taylor‘s book worlds are the places I most wish I could live.
