Loved this. My favorite book of 2017
I had a hard time getting into this story. I wanted to like it, but the plot seemed forced.

I thought this memoir was very interesting. Sarah Hepola shares her story of how and why she started drinking and her struggle to stop. I am fortunate that I never developed a drinking problem, but I have friends who have. This book helped me understand their struggles better. Would recommend this for anyone who is trying to stop drinking or has a friend with an alcohol problem.
A well researched biography about Helen Gurley Brown. At times though, it seemed like she went into too much detail that could have been omitted without affecting the story.
Enjoyable memoir with interesting insight about Bryan Cranston's acting process.
I bought Adulthood is a Myth for my twenty-two year old daughter for Christmas. She loved it, and I enjoyed watching her laugh as she read it.
My least favorite Hiaasen novel. i thought about bailing, but stuck it out because I kept hoping it would get better because I have really enjoyed his other books. Too many plot lines I didn't care about, particularly the lawyer and his girlfriend who wanted to build a mansion on the lot next to Andrew. I found myself skimming those pages towards the end.
I read about a 1/4 of Bennington Girls are Easy, then decided to bail. I didn't like the main characters enough to want to find out what happened to them.
Crazy Rich Asians and the sequel, China Rich Girlfriend, are great picks for readers who want to be entertained by characters who are really, really rich. I was happy to read that there may be a third book coming out next year.
It‘s a chilling thought , that politicians have learned to manipulate the television medium better than the television professionals themselves. When old Cronkite first realized this was happening he imagined the kinds of people who would become politicians in the future. And he shuddered with fear.
The fictional story of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise
I thought the first book in this trilogy was wonderful, but this final book focused on the characters I liked the least and by the end, I just didn't care.
The first, and in my opinion, the best book of this family trilogy.
I have loved Motley Crue since high school. Their story is even crazier than I imagined. Great book for fans.
I read this several years ago and loved it. Memoirs have become my favorite book genre, especially when it involves an unconvemtional childhood.
Interesting way of thinking about my childhood.
"“Perhaps, sir, for our purposes, sir, you shouldn‘t think of it as your mother abandoned you. Instead, perhaps think of it as she gave you up for adoption slightly later than usual.”"
I really looked forward to this, but I am disappointed now that I have it. It is so long, and really needs some editing to help condense the details. I am bailing on this one because I started another book that I am falling in love with.
A terrific story about a blended family that spans five decades. One of my favorites books from 2016.
