I just finished savoring this beautiful story and I want to start re-reading it (which is something I never do). It is, by far, one of the best books I have ever read. Beautifully lush characterization, engaging plot, and perfect inclusions of historically appropriate events. I rarely cry while reading but this book brought me many tears. 10/10 perfection!

This story is undoing me. It's not an easy read, but certainly one that we should all submit ourselves to reading.

This is one of the most powerfully moving, delicately beautiful works I have read. I was stunned by the balance of the novel. It seems to contradict every emotion elicited by the reader within the next paragraph. Tayo‘s story of survival breaks your heart and angers your mind. It shows the effects of war, the injustice of the Native Americans, the supreme beauty of their way of life, and delicate balance of the environment.

By far, the funniest line in the book so far. All the eyerolls. 🙄

Enjoyable read. A little dense with a lot of moving parts, but definitely worth the read.

So excited for this book! I've had quite the book hangover since finishing Sleeping Giants and this is the perfect book to cleanse my palate.

1st - Am I the only one that cannot read with a dust jacket? Drives me nuts. This is the coolest hardcover I've ever seen, so take that jacket off. 2nd - THIS BOOK! 100 pages in & I want to devour the rest. I apologize in advance for those who try to converse with me today. My mind is in this book.
