Loved this! Fantastic world-building, characters system of magic... checks all my boxes. It was a bit slow to start but then got downright addicting and I ended up inhaling most of it in a night.
Kobo, Kitten, Coffee = best morning
Despite the description, this really isn't part mystery - whether James's death was an accident or suicide isn't really explored. What it is is a raw and real depiction of the process of grief, and of one woman's questioning of her own capacity for love, explored through interwoven memories of her past relationships. Beautiful read ❤️
Avoiding thinking about getting on the ferry this morning...
Airport wait #1 of the day has begun. Fortunately this has an intriguing opening sentence, which is helping me ignore my surroundings... ☺️
So glad this is the name of the first chapter in the first book I start my trip with. It's making 4:30am a little more tolerable 😺
