What is our ambition of life? Does it match with the real meaning of our lives? This book left me awestruck with such questions. Fascinating book to read over and over again...

"If marriage is the end of life, how can it be the goal of life?"

Absolutely stunned by reading this gorgeous book with a gorgeous writing that energizes the rage, I hold in my mind against the set up rules for women, some of which I personally faced, after marriage as well as before it. This world is still a battlefield of sexes, where women have to fight harder, although being nominated as the weaker sex at the end of the day.

It turned out to be a very melancholic tale of love, not a very romantic one to read on such kind of vacations. Finch and Violet had a tough time to build their relationship and the only issue that kept me reading this book is their mental illness ; how two utterly depressed people found love in each other and it is the only thing that drew them together but also the same thing that separated them as well...

We Should All Be Feminists | Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
"We must raise our daughters differently, we must also raise our sons differently"- this was Chimamanda's solution for a better world of happier men and happier women. Is feminist really an aggressive term, as we become afraid of calling ourselves as feminists? Chimamanda presents her view as how she had to confront difficult situations for being a woman in a Nigerian society.

DebinHawaii Welcome to Litsy!! 🎉📚👍😀Hope you enjoy it here! 6y
