Loved the concept of this book! A fantastical game with magic and an underlying sense of danger. Not a fan of the main character or the ending- everything happened around the main character but not because of her.

Loved this book. The world building was awesome and so were the characters. Very dark, violent, and brutal, but what would you expect from a book about a school of assassins?

I loved the concept of this book; a lot of angels vs. demons with gargoyles that shift to humans. The main character is probably one of my favorites and felt super relatable to me. Down side is that the book didn‘t really seem to pick up very fast and some of the character relationships felt forced. Interested to see where the next book goes, though!

I love these books! These characters are some of my favorites and the speed of the writing is nice; I personally never got bored. A lot of reviews talk about the scattered feeling and crossed out lines at the beginning of the first book, but I thought that‘s what made it so great! The character has been in isolation and it gives you a feel of what living in her head may feel like. Over-all, great reads!

Sharv_Sona Do you know what the reading order is? Because I‘m very confused... 3y
mollylou @Sharv_Sona Sorry I‘m just seeing this! The order is what is in the picture and then there‘s smaller stories that are like events from the books from another‘s point of view that are in between a few of the main novels. I read like one of those… they aren‘t necessary to understand the story but extra character development. :) 3y

Loved the storyline and characters. Seemed a bit slow and did not escalate to where I felt it needed to; I wanted a little more. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series though; story was captivating enough that I‘m interested in seeing where it goes!

Cheshirecat913 I felt about the same way when I read this one too. I did go on to read the rest of the series. Book 3 is where I really got into the story. 4y
mollylou Awesome! I‘m reading the second one right now and am already a bit more excited, but glad the third one is even better! 4y

SO GOOD. I finished the whole series within about four days- I just couldn't put them down. Reminded me why I love reading so much!
