You know those books that gut you, make you gasp, leave you wanting to hold the characters close, and just…ughhh? This is one of those for me. A bittersweet read that felt all too real.

Absolutely could not put this one down! A one-day read for me on a Saturday where I needed to get lost in a book.

Absolutely stunning. I know I‘m late to the game on this one, but it is so worthy of every bit of of praise and accolade.
Also, I‘m aware my dumb bag of chai is swill compared to what they truly make in this book, but I found myself captivated by the food and drink throughout the whole thing. So I had to make do with what I had on hand.

When you start a book and feel something in your own universe shifting within the first few pages...yes, that is the power of words.

An absolutely critical read. I think it hits even harder now than it did when it was first published in 2018. Heartbreaking, honest, and above all...full of hope. I am truly in awe of now Senator McBride.

Do yourself a favor and get this one on audiobook if you can.

Whoa. Diabolical and disturbing and eloquent and intimate. So many words I could use to describe Stage‘s debut. Read it, and be prepared to have your mind messed with in the best possible way.

Get your hands on this as soon as possible. Read it. Read it again. (This recommendation brought to you in conjunction with my trusty book light and my comfiest Star Wars pajama pants.)

I wouldn‘t normally call a 366 page book a “read-in-one-sitting” kind of book, but that‘s exactly what this is. I started it right before dinner and stayed up late to finish it.
Heart-wrenching. Raw. Real. Hopeful. A captivating read.

Storms all night=very little sleep. Rainy and thundery morning? I guess I can find a way to survive it.

You absolutely need to pick this one up! Chrissy might be the wisest person I‘ve ever “known,” and holy wow, does this book ever resonate. Looking forward to a re-read.

Fantastic read. It really helps understand the issues people are trying to cope with, especially those “invisible” illnesses. Highly recommended.
