Having read a lot of books based on holocaust, this one stands out for me as it's written by a psychologist where she focuses not only on surviving the camps but also the life after the liberation, the grief of losing parents, losing your childhood to the war and most importantly - how to be resilient.
Bonus- this book is filled with beautiful quotable lines.

This book is a memoir by a therapist who herself goes through therapy. The book portrays her difficult times in her professional and her personal life.
It's a very very well written book. Not only is it funny but so insightful. I have never saved up so many quotes/lines from any other book. Each one will make you ponder
I would 100 percent recommend this book to everyone. The journey is incredible.

Viji I‘m listening to the audiobook. Will buy a physical copy for highlighting. 4y
ruchigandhi22 Oh you should definitely do that. The quotes are some of my favourites 3y

Started this book yesterday, 150 pages in and I am already devestated.

The way it's written is so sorrowful. I cannot wait to finish this entire 700pages novel.

TrishB You will be even more devastated by then!! 4y

Despite all the craziness of 2020, there's been no time best suited for staying home and reading.

Even though I couldn't physically travel this year, I definitely did discover new stories, places , characters by reading these beautiful books.

Picture of all the books ( plus several short stories and E Books) that I reach this year. :)

I randomly bought this book by just reading the back cover imagining it to be something fun and surely I was right
The Rosie project is a pretty fun book, a very easy read which you can do during a weekend. Reading this book felt like watching a movie. A very cute romantic story. Generally I am not big on romance but this book quite surprised me with its cute moments.
I would definitely recommend it.

This is my first book which introduced me to Greek mythology and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The book tells the story of the goddess, the witch Circe. It beautifully describes her journey. The pace of the book was perfect , the story very interesting.
I loved the way Madeline Miller wrote the character of Circe.
I would highly recommend everyone to give this book a shot.

I used to wonder, how is it the 21st century and still people believe that blacks are inferior than whites? How are people still discriminating people on their race.
Well this book definitely explains the vicious circle which is still going on ....

Re reading my favourite non fiction book and it still blows my mind.
The language is so simple and the content is so interesting. Always loved Evolution as a subject in college. This book just reminded me that again.

I still can't believe this book was written by someone as young as 12-15 year old. She lived through the most difficult time imaginable and describes her struggles beautifully. I think everyone should read this book once.

PS. Really helped me feel better about this entire Quarantine situation 🙈

I cannot stress how much I loved this book.
One of the best non fiction books with so many eye openers.
It's a book full of amazing facts which for a change makes you feel better about the world we live it. It even gives light to some important issues regarding poverty line and statistics.
A very easy read. Read it slowly and take in every fact. You will surely love it. Trust me :D

This is one of my favorite books.
Being a non religious Hindu, I have never read much about mythology. But lately I realised that Hindu mythology is actually pretty fascinating and that is when I gave this book a try.
This book is told from the perspective of a princess and has lots of beautiful strong feminist ideologies.
Even if you don't know anything about Hindu Mythology, give this a shot. There's always Google if you want to research

I had pretty high expectations when I started reading this book mainly because the tv show version on Netflix is absolutely my favourite show and now I know why.
This book is engaging, disturbing and pretty fascinating.
It revolves around the psychology behind criminals , what makes them do the things that they do.

Because the main question is- are criminals born? Or are they formed?

Mehso-so

This was one of the easiest book I have read. I felt the way they portrayed depression was pretty interesting and realistic. I loved the atypical melancholy that follows throughout the book however there were some parts which I couldn't really get my self to love.
I felt it was really difficult to fall in love with the characters. I even felt the book was over sexualized in many aspects. And the female characters were very submissive.

Suahpy Your review just spoke my mind! 😅 4y
