I picked this up because it was sold to me as "inspired by the Labyrinth" which I adored growing up. This definitely has elements from the film while being its own story entirely. I was completely enraptured and spell-bound by the Goblin King. The writing is fantastically lyrical and I could hear the music flowing from its description on the page.
