Flying through this piece of work and just don't want it to ever end! I love that I am finally rereading these books via the Jim Kay illustrated editions! Hadn't gotten around to seeing Fantastic Beasts. I have the book, but want to finish with The Sorcerer's Stone first (I have read all 7 books and The Cursed Child), however, I'm a peculiar one when it comes to my tbr.

Earlier today I found this lovely copy of Huckleberry Finn. I adore Mark Twain. And I love a good updated freshly illustrated version of a classic novel! I read this in AP Honors English when I was in high school. It has stayed with me and is due for a reread soon. 💞⛅💕 By the way, today was a beautiful day. Gorgeous weather. A lazy Sunday. 7Eleven Trolli slurpee. 50% off day at Half Price Books. Rio & Jimi. A perfect end to the winter season 😊

This was a really cute story. I haven't read YA in a while so this was a light refreshing read of young love. I loved the fact that the protagonist Lara Jean Song was biracial and that the author was an Asian female. It enhances the cultural aspect of any piece of literature when it comes from a diversified perspective. I laughed and shed a few tears throughout. I will be on the lookout for TSITP! Beautiful cover art! 💕🌸

Brooklyn | Colm Toibin

I was able to empathize with Eilis. I felt for her when she was homesick in the early sections of the novel. To leave one's home to venture off to a new place where there's an ocean in between is rough. Not to mention in mid century industrialization America. I felt she was rushed into making several life changing decisions against her own will. The descriptions were very telling of the times. The movie is good too. Both made me cry.
