The writing in this book is outstanding. My heart went out to Roy. His wife and ber best friend though? Not my favorite people in the world. Was trying very hard but i grew to dislike them very much. But things in life do happen. Must take it in stride!

Amazing!!!!!! Could not put it down. I don't read many YA novels but this was stellar. Heartfelt writing brought you to the hard reality many face in this country. A worth while read.

This book was amazing! The back and forth between the past and present was artfully done. I enjoyed every page. Such a sad story. I felt for each and every stolen child and teared up at the end! A must read!

This book was outstanding! Edge of your seat suspense that had me gasping all the way to the end. The main character Iris although weak with wanting for her husband to be alive stays strong even when she feels like she is unable to. A true test of love and betrayal. A must read!

Update: this book had me till about half way though when I realized that she was never sick. Not even a common cold. I figured she wasn't really sick however, once it was confirmed and we find out her mother is just sad and mentally broken. That did it. I was over it. Didn't appreciate this ending at all.

Pretty good so far. I like the use of Nat Cole to weave this story together....

In addition. The ending falls short. It's not really about anything. Just a story and then it ends. No high points. No climax just words...
