Came home early with a migraine, trying to stay away from overly bright screens (my brightness is all the way down right now) so I started this while taking an epsom salt bath to relax my back/shoulders.

Starting a Christmas eve book tradition! Saw the movie today and I'm so excited to dive into the book. The movie was fantastic!

Preface: a little dense for the way I listen to audiobooks. That said, this book was great and is being added to my wishlist for purchase & rereading at a later date. Wonderfully researched and beautifully told tale about the women who helped shape astronomy on their own and with the men in their lives.

Surprise book splurge! 3 of these were under $9 so it wasn't tooooo bad. Been wanting the Horseshoe crabs once since it came out, so was stoked to find it on the cheap!

There aren't many books that I listen to and love so much that I want to own a paper copy of.

This is one of those books.

It was a topic I was seriously ignorant of, but Anderson's story telling was so wonderful and it's a great story of not so great times. The audiobook gets bonus points for weaving in bits of Shostakovich's symphonies, and the author's wonderful narration.

I listened to Robopocalyse ages ago and fell in absolute love with it. Like, needed an analog copy of it love.

Finally got around to #Amped, and honestly wasn't super in love. Maybe it was that we only really followed one character. Maybe it's just my weird messy feelings about the technology in the book. Maybe I was just more distracted than when I listened to #Robopocalypse.

Going back to the library. #BreakfastofChampions wasn't my cup of tea, but I can see why people like it. Malkovich was an A+ narrator and champ for describing all the doodles.

Finished this at work tonight.

Outside my normal preferred genre, but still enjoyable. McMillan's characters felt real and age appropriate and it was nice to see the world through Georgia's eyes. Her descriptions of the Bay also really made me miss that area, and overall the writing was lovely. A little too much dialogue to follow in audio, but the author narrated it well.
