Kallie loves ancient history and works at a large museum researching the lives and language of the Ancient Minoans. She teams up with Dimitri Andreas, a rich philanthropist whose interest in her research is as strong as hers and they go on a world search for an artifact that will crack the code to Ancient Minoan. As they travel through exotic and beautiful locations, unraveling clues, pursuing leads, and fighting their increasing attraction to each other, the memories that Kallie lost seven year previous start coming back. When strange woman who knows Kallie's real identity tries to kill her, it becomes clear that her past and present are colliding and will hopefully reveal the truth.
This book confused me. The time travel storyline was okay. It was predictable. IMO the author should have left it at that and not tried to turn it into an explanation of salvation. I felt it was rather too much.
"It's ironic, really. These mosaics were created to relate the biblical stories to the illiterate masses. Now the masses can read, but we've largely lost our ability to understand art."
