I did it! The tagged book was # 300. This was kind of a ridiculous goal, but it's fun to have accomplished this. Next year I'm setting a more leisurely goal.

It starts in this book, and by the time Lady Julia and Brisbane work their way through the novellas that ended this series, they are, in my opinion, #smugmarrieds. Minnie decided to photo bomb, because she thinks I take too many pictures that include Mickey 😄
#feistyfeb My choice for #historicheroine is Lady Julia Gray. Maybe because she was such a feisty character. I was disappointed when the author chose to end this series, but her new one makes up for it. My collection is missing the first, and my favorite, Silent in the Grave, because someone didn't return a loan. And I can't remember who that someone is. Groan😕

pickWhile I'm enjoying this series, I have been a little annoyed with the heroine throughout these first few books. She has a habit of being overly inquisitive, which invariably ends with a huge disagreement with her husband as well as her own tendency to end up making mistakes.
However with the ending of this book, I see hope for her growth. I was also happy with how Brisbane's character developed in this one. Looking forward to the next one! #osrbc
pickMy favorite is still the first book in the series. I enjoy the banter and lovely repartee and the romance is rather sweet. perfect escape for a cold winter's night
