The Ghosts Go Haunting
The Ghosts Go Haunting | Helen Ketteman
4 posts | 3 read
All through the school, ghosts go marching, witches go flying, and goblins go groaning with a whole host of other creatures! The teachers and staff are terrified, but of course the students know its just Halloween fun! Helen Kettemans verseswritten to the counting tune of The Ants Go Marchingmake this a rollicking read-aloud, while Adam Records artwork brings the ghoulish parade to life.

Love our local library and the amazing kids section it has! Kids picked up some Halloween books and a few others while we were there too. A trip to the library is always fine!

Awww!!! The monsters all take over the school little by little for some Halloween fun, frightening all the adults. It‘s a really cute book. +21 (About Halloween/post) for #TeamStoker #scarathlon

Nightly Halloween picture book reading!

Wasn't a big fan of this one. Meant to be to the tune of “The Ants Go Marching“, but the rhyming is off, which throws off the rhythm of the whole book.

Clwojick Hmmm. Too bad! Hopefully the next one is better. 🖤 6y
merelybookish It always surprises me how often the rhyming is off in picture books! 6y
alisiakae @merelybookish It doesn‘t always bother me, but the story wasn‘t that great. 6y

Breakfast table reading for #AllHallowsRead! This is a great, #NOTscaryHalloween book for read (and sing!) aloud for kiddos, though it may be a little early for the latter...
