We‘ll call this a pick. I like how Alleyn and Bathgate sass each other while solving the mystery, and any Marsh story with a theatrical angle is bound to be of interest to me, no matter how small the angle.

Top five in various stages of reading; bottom 3 finished. I was working remotely this week so I was able to steal more reading time than a usual work week. Covid test negative🎉🎉🙌🏻🙌🏻 #teachersoflitsy
Starting listening to Overture to Death, which I am reading as part of my century of books Challenge. #1939
As I am making my way through the Roderick Alleyn, this has probably been one of my favourites.
The denouement was a little clichéd (the killer was obvious a miiiiiile away). But, I still enjoyed the detective's journey to the conclusion, and I liked Marsh's characterization a lot. I'll definitely give another one a shot.
I have never read any Ngaio Marsh before, but I'm loving this one! Wondering why I've never gotten around to her. {Also wondering why they misspelled her name on the cover.} 😜
