This prompt made me think of one of my favorite movies as a child, Hello Down There, a 1969 film about a family who moves into an underwater house for 30 days to test out the design. I adored this movie & watched it every time it showed up on television. I wanted to live there-claustrophobia be damned!😆There was not to my knowledge & online surfing, a book tie-in so I'm linking it to this book, which looks pretty great.🐬

Omg- this book, guys! The most gorgeous illustrations! The book flips over, so that you begin from either side. Fantabulous gift! So happy I stumbled upon it.

I have the most amazing independent book store nearby. Little Shop of Stories in Decatur, Georgia is the best children's bookstore I know. The salespeople are so knowledgeable. With their help, I picked this two-sided book for my 8 year-old niece who prefers "non-fiction, like the National Geographic Almanac". #bookgifts

jpmcwisemorgan When I lived in Irvine, CA there was a children's bookstore called A Whale of a Tale, and it was fantastic with recommendations. I don't know if it's still around but when I lived there it was my go to place for books for my friends' kids. 7y

ptkpepe98 You can also go to ala.org and check out all the recommended reading lists compiled in a variety of ways and by a variety of people, including kiddos. 7y
