🔔📚🔔 a bit back I wrote about these two mysteries that while nothing new per say we're good mysteries with that page-turner element. They're both on sale for .99cents and $1.99 BUT I recommend you read them backwards so start with MURDER GAME then read FRACTURED.

Enjoyable, but not at all what I was expecting. This is the book "written" by the protagonist from Fractured by McKenzie. I expected it to be more directly tied to Fractured, but it is a stand alone revolving around a murder trial, possibly the perfect crime. #catsoflitsy. [a side note] I love Dexters toes. ?

Just finished listening to The Murder Game, a companion book to Catherine McKenzie's Fractured. McKenzie wrote both, and The Murder Game and its author feature in Fractured. I can't wait to read/listen to see how this all works! #PopSugarReadingChallenge author who uses a pseudonym task

Matilda I read them backwards--this one first then Fractured--and am glad, I think they work better that way. Not so sure about the How To Get Away With Murder comp the synopsis has though, I think the new Marcia Clark series fits that better. 8y
MallenNC @Matilda I'm reading in this order bc of a tip in your Bookriot newsletter! I haven't read the Marcia Clarke books but I've got that on my TBR. I don't think this exactly fit How to Get Away with Murder either. 8y

I have always had trouble with audiobooks but I've finally found a method that works for me -- the Whispersync on Kindle/Audible that lets you switch between the ebook and the audio. It's syncs to the last page heard or read. It helps me if I miss something! This has kept me company today while winter weather keeps me inside! #snowdayreading #audiobook

I'm going to read this one for the #PopSugarChallenge in the category of author who uses a pseudonym. Then I'm going to read the other book that goes with it, Fractured.

The details unfold as the story flashes in alternating chapters between the past and the present, where I was happy to be privy to the aftereffects of an earlier life, sometimes before being told about the earlier years. I found both time periods equally compelling and equal in their importance towards the mean.

It's a wee bit of a gimmick (a crime novel "written by" a character from another novel) so I really wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a capably-written, solidly constructed & very readable suspense novel, if a little lightweight. Now I really need to read "Fractured" to figure out how it all fits together :)

Finished up this book yesterday while at the playground with grandson. Enjoyable read tied in with Fractured. Now need a new book between the two!

3% in and totally sucked in and already said WHAT?! (Not in the database yet but I'll update the post with the book when it is-- comes out Nov 1st) and back to reading I have to know what is happening!
