THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING LIBRARY LOVER'S MYSTERY FROM THE AUTHOR OF DUE OR DIE Avast in pirate speak means what?* Answering tricky reference questions like this one provides plenty of excitement for library director Lindsey Norris. But when a shocking murder is committed in her cozy coastal town of Briar Creek, Connecticut, the question of who did it must be answered before an innocent man gets the book thrown at him... Lindsey is enjoying her second year in Briar Creek as the library director, meeting with the crafternoon club, and happily dating tour boat captain Mike Sullivan. But when a salvage company arrives in town to dig up treasure buried on Pirate Island over three hundred years ago, the locals are torn between protecting the island and welcoming the publicity. In spite of the squabbling, Charlie Peyton, Lindseys downstairs neighbor, takes a job with the salvage company. But when Trudi Hargrave, the local tourism director who hired the company, is found murdered at the excavation site, Charlie becomes the chief suspect. To help him, Lindsey must do some digging of her own before the real killer buries the truth for good *stop From the Paperback edition.

The climax of this mystery was a little over the top but it worked for a story centered on a treasure map! I like Lindsay and her friends, so I‘m glad I have a few more of these to read. (Including one I‘m going to start right now!) #CozyintheSun book six

Librarybelle It‘s a good feeling when you have the next in the series lined up and ready to read immediately! 4y
MallenNC @Librarybelle Me too! I was able to get books 1, 3, and 4. I had already read book 2 and I think I may also have book 6 around here somewhere. 4y
Emily92Bibliophile Live this cozy series! I can‘t wait until December when the new one comes out! 4y

This is the third book in the Library Lover's Mystery series and another enjoyable read. This one had a bit of a darker storyline but I found it very interesting. The mystery involved a pirate's buried treasure from 300 years ago, a Treasure Island, a mysterious treasure map that goes missing, and this fun little seaside town revolving around the local library. I love the residents and am having fun with this series so far.

Mariposa_Bookworm I do love a cozy mystery! 🤓 5y

I didn't get any reading done today as I spent the morning running errands and the afternoon with my sister and 1-year-old niece. Settling down for a few chapters before sleep.

While I enjoyed this more than other titles in the series, I wasn't pleased with the abrupt turn of events. Nonetheless I am going to continue visiting Briar Creek Public Library with the 4th title in this series.
My Saturday night companions FTW!

The first chapter seems so so familiar (need to compare with previous titles in the series) but the synopsis is not, and neither have I recorded this as read on Goodreads... Another bookish cozy I can't resist

Part of today's #libraryhaul the bookish cozy mysteries were surprise addition to the Mccall Smith and the thrillers which were the titles I went seeking...
These gems may have to wait until I get back from vacation and complete the books I had borrowed earlier
😅😅

I love when books include the recipes a character uses. Argh!! I should have put the next book on hold. This is book three in the series and ends with a murder being solved plus a guy being dumb. I'm hoping in the next book a certain guy gets smart but I'll have to wait and see.

EloisaJames Hi there! My daughter just pointed to your name in a list of comments (she's right--very pretty!)--so could you possibly shoot me an email with your address & I'll get The Bollywood Bride into the mail? Eloisa@eloisajames.com. 🎉🎉🎉 8y

Out of town for a work meeting. Sitting in my hotel room trying to read. Numbers still coming in for my state. Anxiously awaiting the results. #gobluemn #imwithher
