An interesting read. This book took me much longer than I expected. Quite frankly, I got bored with sections of it. The author groups together responses of members of the scientific community who address the question of what theories are blocking progress. I propose the name of the book be changed to Science: The Patch Notes.

About half of these pieces are fundamentally concerned with or unknowingly about questions of classification. So many go wrong on this score.
I‘ve enjoyed other Brockman books in the past. The essays in this one are great so far.
