Viola Shipman tells a beautiful and unique story between the past and present. The characters are so well developed, that you really come to care about what happens to them. THE HOPE CHEST well pull at you heartstrings, it was a big tearjerker for me.

TODAY'S PHOTO: BOOK YOU GIFTED
Have you read this book?
I'm going to be honest, until about 80% in, I was not enjoying this book at all and thought of abandoning it SEVERAL times. But i figured I should try to stick with it because i LOVED The Charm Bracelet, by this same author. Well, like i said, about 80% in, I start bawling like a nut! It was worth the read. The thing that was holding me back? THAT KID! SHE DROVE ME NUTS!
⭐⭐⭐
Two thumbs up, five stars! Wade Rouse writing as Viola Shipman hits it out of the park for another home run with The Hope Chest! As he did with The Charm Bracelet, he effortlessly weaves the past with the present to tell a story that is rife with sentiment without being sappy! I smiled and I cried. And then I smiled through my tears. Wade/Viola has a rare and true gift for storytelling! I absolutely cannot wait to see what he brings us next! ❤
Woohoo! I came home from work to find Viola Shipman/ Wade Rouse latest book, The Hope Chest, in my mailbox! Book mail is the best! I can't wait to read this ? instead of "sick days," I think we should all be allowed a couple of "book days!" ???❤
A marriage, a hope chest, a woman living with ALS. Where are the tissues?????? Escape reading for March.
Just some of the books I tweeted about tonight. I'll be adding them here over the next few days. I'm in my busy editing season, so pleasure reading is slow for a while. But I can still talk books, right?
