Fair warning this one completely destroyed me. I read it as a teen and it was the first literary work I experienced a death of a character close to my own age.
Finally finished this book.
It reads like a diary of a teenage girl. She talks about topics such as periods, sex, love, spirituality, and flatulence. I feel like I‘ve grown up alongside the main character. It‘s unlike any book I‘ve ever read before.
This book came to me at a pivotal moment in life. It was part of my decision to get closer to my mom and build a stronger relationship. It will be a rather upsetting read though.
When a friend was over recently he kept quizzing me on whether or not I have read the #chunkster books on my shelves. Here are three that I had to admit I have not gotten around to yet. #splashintosummerreads
