pickI liked the juxtaposition of the historic home renovation against her relationship; the past colliding with the modern of the architecture and the premise that the past simply cannot be erased because the bones of the home will always be there, just like her past choices have made her who she is.

pickIm not sure how to rate this one. It was beautifully written. Poetic, but in a simplistic way, not over the top. Haunting. Yet let me wanting, and I don't know if in a good, literary way, or as if the author should have said more. I felt it was missing a little in character development, but that's my focus of most novels. Overall a pic, simply because of how drawn I was to at least the last half of the book.
