THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD!!! I desperately need sleep, and I‘m finding it close to impossible to put it down and go to bed. It‘s been a long time since a book has gripped me like this!

This was such a good book! I‘ve been in such a reading slump, and it REALLY helped me push through it! It was haunting, poignant, funny, sad, and almost too relatable.

Testing, testing, 1...2...3... Is this thing on?? :)

I‘ve been away from Litsy for about a year, and I have spent the last few months in a HUGE book slump! A long illness with awful brain fog has killed my reading mojo! I‘m working on getting it back.

Is anyone out there? If anyone sees this, drop me a comment, I‘d LOVE the reconnection with other readers!

Lwsmith I‘m just getting back on here too!! Let‘s do this thing! 7mo

I liked it! This was a good weekend read. I like that there were twists, but not cheap tricks. Definitely thumbs-up!

Snagged this from the library. I love psychological thrillers! I don‘t know anyone who has read it, so I may hate the ending (I‘m looking at you, Gone Girl), but the story is interesting so far.

What a great read! From the introductory chapter, I felt like I was sitting down to chat with a girlfriend! Lincee has a perfect mix of wit and depth, and shares her heart in such a relatable way. I read most of the book while saying “Oh my gosh, me too!!” Definitely check this book out, I can‘t say enough good things about it!

I finally had some time to read (DD's Homeschool band kicked back off today - two whole hours of down time for this Mama!), and picked up this baby to wrap up. People, you will love this book! So fun and quirky and touching. It's still available for pre-purchase before the release date of October 3rd!

This is a re-read for me, but I liked it just as much this time around as I did 6-7 years ago. I think this is one of Picoult's best, in terms of character development and story twists.

Revisiting one of the first Picoult books I read, years ago when I stumbled across her books. This is still one of my favorites!

(I'm reading in the only quiet room I could find in the house. Ironically, it's the teenager's room - hence the super colorful bedspread!)

Le sigh...this was such a wonderful, real, magical, relatable story. I love how Allen writes. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but she definitely speaks to me!

In other news, I just cleaned up my Litsy feed. I haven't been coming here much, because my feed didn't interest me. So I'm trying to do a reboot. Less advertisements, more real people reading real books :)

Picked this one up randomly on Kindle Unlimited. Opens with Aimee at the church on her wedding day. Only instead of her fiancé standing at the altar, he's in a coffin. Now she's reeling from his sudden death and other losses in her life, unsure of where to go now. And some things aren't adding up for her. I'm definitely going to keep reading!

Oh. My. Goodness. I cannot love this book more! I had a hard time getting into it, but I LOVED it! I mean, laughing out loud and then later tears streaming down my face! Absolutely fantastic. Now I want to go hug my grandfather, who reminds me far too much of A Man Called Ove.

Suzze I started this but books that have "due dates" (e-arcs and library books) keep pushing it off. I want to get back to it so bad! 3y

What do you do while going through a bit of a book slump? You pick out a good mystery audiobook to listen to! I've recently "discovered" Scottoline's works, and am working my way through them. I like the mix of character-driven fiction and a decent mystery to try to solve along with the main character.

Im not sure how to rate this one. It was beautifully written. Poetic, but in a simplistic way, not over the top. Haunting. Yet let me wanting, and I don't know if in a good, literary way, or as if the author should have said more. I felt it was missing a little in character development, but that's my focus of most novels. Overall a pic, simply because of how drawn I was to at least the last half of the book.

2nd book finished in the #24in48 #readathon with @24in48

Eh. I was going to give this one a thumbs-down. I nearly bailed on it. The last ten pages were redemptive, but man, this was one of the most unlikable main characters I've read in a long time. And there wasn't much depth at all to any of the characters, main or secondary. It wasn't the worst book. But it was definitely "meh."
