This summer I discovered fairytale retellings. My new obsession.

ElizaMarie So, in this topic.. what books do you recommend? I read the whole Cinder series that I really liked. I was Surprised that I would like a revamped fairy tale. I would love to explore more. Any suggestions/recommendations would be welcomed. 5y

Brewychock48 @ElizaMarie I have read the Cinder series,loved it. Spelled,by Betsy Schow. It is about Dorothy,from Wizard of Oz. Queen of Hearts,by Colleen Oakes. It is an Alice in Wonderland retelling. Once Upon a Dream, by Liz Braswell. A Sleeping Beauty retelling. I also look on Goodreads for books 5y

Brewychock48 Also,Wicked,by Gregory Maguire. About the Wicked Witch of the West,from Wizard of Oz. Also, I read cozy mysteries with a tenuous tie with fairytales. Death of a Mad Hatter for example. 5y

marleed I just read Roar - 30 short stories by Cecilia Ahern. They are wacky and wonderful and best read a story at a time over time. They are ver fairytale-like. Also, I think, better read than audio‘d. I‘ve discovered short stories don‘t register in my head when on audiobook. 5y
