Eh, okay. It‘s a quirky little slice of history, sure, but there‘s something about it that isn‘t sitting right with me. I feel a little weird about this one. #bbrc #A2Z:Q

monalyisha Oh, I freaking loved this one. 😬 I think it was rhyming “water” with “oughta” that gave me the giggliest giggles. 🤷‍♀️ 5y
rubyslippersreads The movie “Mrs. Brown,” starring Judi Dench as Queen Victoria, shows the bathing machines. 5y

Sarahreadstoomuch @monalyisha I did like the rhymes... but thought it a little weird that there feels like more of a focus on Prince Albert than Queen Victoria? 5y
Sarahreadstoomuch Probably reading into it too much. 5y
Sarahreadstoomuch @rubyslippersreads I haven‘t seen that! There is a photo of the bathing machine in the back of the book which is cool. 5y

An unusual picture book selection for the 4yo today but it sure looks like a fun one. He was especially fascinated by the photo of the actual bathing machine.

Andrea313 I love Gloria Whelan, and this book in particular! ❤ 6y
