It also provides insight into the least known of Henry VIII's wives, Katherine Parr.

When I had summers off because I was teaching, I would set reading parameters for my library books, such as "only fiction by women" or "learn British history by reading biographies of the kings and queens." This was before social media, but I guess they were my own reading challenges. #booknerdconfessions #fallintobooks @RealLifeReading

This is a well-researched biography of poor Lady Jane Grey, the "Nine-day Queen". She was basically sold off by her parents as a political pawn in the Tudor dynastic struggles and was then executed for treason at the age of sixteen (although some say seventeen).
