Not as exciting as I remembered them to be
Next up . . . Its been a long time (no pun intended!) since I read a Goddard. What I do remember is gasping at the end of every chapter. He is the master of a cliffhanger. Looking forward to this.

I love Robert Goddard books, and this is one of his best. He is such a master storyteller and always great twists. This book also takes in events in Ireland in the early parts of the Second World War. Strongly recommended and have included my review below.
For my trip to #Belgium I will take in one of my favourite books by Robert Goddard. Most of the book takes place in Ireland but there is a key important part of the book linked to a trip to Belgium. Now of course the other option was everyone‘s favourite TinTin!
Long Time Coming is an excellent thriller and I strongly recommend it.

Reread Long Time Coming by Robert Goddard for a Group Read and still loved it as much as the first time. A great read of like you thrillers with a bit of a historical back drop. Totally recommend this book and author. #allthebooksof2017 #booksyoureread
One of my favourite books by one of my favourite authors for #letterllove. Love every book that Robert Goddard writes but this is one of my favourites which is set during the present but tells the story of what happened during the Second World War in Ireland. A fascinating story, filled with intrigue, twists and surprises. Robert Goddard really is a master story teller.
I have read this twice and loved it both times! Do give it a try!
Robert Goddard is the master story teller, he paints a picture & takes you there, unravelling the story one layer at a time rather like the layers of an onion. He is one of my favourites and has never let me down, and this is one of his best. This book is filled with intrigue, betrayal, espionage, political machinations and a mystery element that is not revealed until the end. What more could you want? What are you waiting for? Read this book!
