This book was a total surprise. I was expecting a fun, fluffy, right-amount-of-spooky, though somewhat simple, middle-grade ghost story. Instead, it is a historical, slice-of-life, coming of age piece with a paranormal twist. Definitely would be considered YA more than Middle Grade nowadays. The writing was phenomenal. Reminded me a bit of the Anne of Green Gables series. Hard to find YA books like this anymore. Will def read the sequels.

I've read Ghosts I Have Been multiple times, but for some reason I'd never read any of the other books in the series. This one was just as enjoyable though there wasn't a lot of Blossom Culp.

Sadly I've not been able to read much during the #reversereadathon 😔 I was asleep by 9 last night and I'm still trying to get my room ready before school starts. I did manage a couple of chapters of this though.
