The first #SweetValleyHighSuperEdition makes for a fun summer adventure with a group biking the CA coast! Mr. Collins & Ms. Dalton chaperone, but have recently broken up— with, to Lila‘s horror, Nora back with her father. An LA stop adds wannabe delinquent Courtney to the group— a girl with a plan that hinges on breaking up Todd & Liz to get home to her mohawked love. Funny with pranks & plenty of adventure, even the principal‘s nephew is a hero!

LMJenkins Why do the “high schoolers” on the cover look like they‘re 30? 😂 19h
TorieStorieS @LMJenkins I know! I‘m not sure if it‘s just because the models were that much older or if the styles really made that much of a difference— but I feel like some of these “high schoolers” look like they should be the tenured teachers!! 🤣 18h

The world of Sweet Valley often requires you to suspend belief, and as the series went on, the plot lines for more bizarre (Beware the Wolfman, anyone?). But this one has a plot that, for the most part, I could actually see happening: A group of friends, and a couple of chaperones, going on a bike trip up the coast. Full of stereotypes and teenage angst, but a great escape as always!

Oh, the drama! I'm reading these in publication order and this is the first super edition. It's full of secrets, flirtations, breakups and makeups, and also the original mean girl, Courtney. I remember reading this way back in the day at my Grandma's house. So much nostalgia! #sweetvalley #SVH #twins #nostalgia

JenlovesJT47 @TorieStorieS I have fond memories of reading this one over the summer at my grandma‘s house. Such ridiculous fun ♥️♥️♥️ 5d
TorieStorieS I feel that way about the Spring Fever one— though it was at my aunt‘s house! I did see my cousin recently and jokingly told her that her books are continuing to bring me joy to head off any ideas of her wanting them back back! 🤣 But this is such a fun one, too!! I forgot how vile Courtney is, trying to win over Todd! 5d
JenlovesJT47 @TorieStorieS that Todd, such a heartbreaker 😆😅. I remember finding this one at a thrift store and I was so excited! Spring Fever is a good one, too. Heck, all of the early super editions are just fantabulously ridiculous! 😅🤓♥️ 5d

Day 8 - #guiltypleasures - I must say, I'm thoroughly enjoying my jaunt into the world of Sweet Valley, reading the series in order for the first time ever. I credit these books with my love for reading. I'm already on book 23, and this is the first super edition I'm reading. I'm trying to read them in publication order. The entire series is a guilty pleasure for me and now, I am completely addicted. #marchintoreading #sweetvalley #SVH #twins

JenlovesJT47 @alabama03 you should! On kindle unlimited they have all of the books starting after book 13, except the special editions, but I believe you can read those online somewhere for free. It's so much fun reading these again, it's like a bad soap opera lol 9y
MirandasBookBlog Oddly enough I never read these...I think she wrote a series called Fearless. I remember reading those and loving them! 9y
JenlovesJT47 @MirandasBookBlog yes she did, I have a few of those but haven't read them yet. 9y
MirandasBookBlog I just looked them up on Goodreads and didn't know she wrote so many! I was in my senior year of h.s. and read the first three. After that I didn't get back into reading until 2008 when the Twilight movie came out, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. 9y
JenlovesJT47 @MirandasBookBlog yeah and I think they now have the Fearless books on the digital library, I might give them a whirl after I finish the Sweet Valley books. Did you know she didn't actually write most of the books? A ghostwriter did. I'm not sure about Fearless but a ghostwriter wrote the entire Sweet Valley series. 9y
MirandasBookBlog What!?! Nowadays that would be frowned upon I would think... 9y
